Took us 9 cycles with an early miscarriage on cycle number 5. Interestingly the cycle we conceived was the first cycle that I did not know excatly when I O'ed and thought that we had no chance as I had to go out of town for work - go figure. It is different for everyone. It is harder the longer it takes though particularly when trying for your first. Good luck!!

Hey Ren
Caught the Egg on the Second Cycle of TTC, it was the third after coming off the pill, I had been on the pill for 11 years, but for the past 5 years it was a very low dosage of the pill, due to it causing constant headaches.
I have a really good friend who has been trying for 8 months for their first and both are 29-30 fit and healthy, so it is just not predictable. I really hope you catch the eggie soon hun :stickyvibesboy: :stickyvibesgirl:

Good luck with your TTC Ren.
It took as 14months to conceive Aiden.
ATM, we are in the TTW of cycle 4 for TTC#2

My first pregnancy took 3 years to achive (m/c at 5 weeks), my 2nd took 9 months (m/c at 5 weeks), my 3rd took I think 3 cycles (m/c at 5 weeks). This pregnancy took 2 cycles. Basically I've been trying to achieve my dream for over 10 years so I'm not a great example.
-
DD took us 5 months - but we werent trying to have a baby so she was a surprise.... when dd was 4 months old we stopped using protection and 2 years later still nothing :(
-
I had a m/c on 15th Nov 07... and now im almost 9 weeks pregnant..
so took us about a week LOL!
-
It took us 5 cycles to conceive (but 9 months due to my irregular cycle). I've read the average couple with good fertility will achieve one pg every 4.5 months.
-
Only took 2 cycles to conceive DS and we weren't really trying, we were just "seeing what happened".
We are now trying for Number Two. However this time around we have tried the "see what happens" approach for 3 months after AF returned and then really actively started TTC. This is our 5th month of active TTC so 8 months in total. So frustrating. It was so easy the first time!

Principessa - I like that average.... every 4mths?! :D thats a good average... sounds better than 12mths thats for sure....
Banx - wow! I had my m.c 09 nov 07 and still not pregnant.... so you did well!
Well, I figure, we've already waited four months to fall pregnant (started late sept07) so I figure, we are almost half way to 12mths lol so it can't be too much longer until we fall pregnant!!! That is, hoping all is okay and nothing wrong with us! Although if we had a early miscarriage, at least we know 'something' is working down there for both of us!!!!
Thank you for your responses.

I fell pregnant with Harry the first month TTC and then with Oliver the second month TTC.
:bluedust: for you Ren

Ren I think age can play a factor too - so have put my age at conception with each pg.
With DS I got pg after 7 cycles ttc (hormones were out of whack due to coming off BCP). I was 32.
With DD we got pg first try at age 34. (Out of interest, 3 other friends from my IRL mother's group also got lucky first go with their #2 around the same time)
My last pg was conceived while we were actively trying not to ttc - but unfortunately didn't make it (age 40).
Now - in 11th cycle of ttc and nothing - age 41.

i went off the pill in august and fell pregnant in feb.. but we werent trying if it happened it happened.. so wasnt charting or anything like that..
-
Our bub was conceived in my fourth month off the pill.
-
I got preg the first month off the pill. I haven't started TTC #2 yet. DH hopes he gets more "practise time" this time round :)
-
We took 17 months - got a referal to FS, but got BFP before the appointment!
-
Three years first time, just hit three years for the second.
-
I went off the pill in July but we weren't really TTC but started seriously TTC in October 2005. We got our much awaited BFP in August 2006. Fingers crossed it won't take as long next time as we know that I have PCOS and aren't going to give nature so long before we give her a helping hand, LOL!! Fingers crossed you get your BFP really soon Ren.
-
Thanks everyone. I hope we get our BFP this month..... ah wouldn't it be so wonderful.... :D
I'm only 26, DH 27 so I don't think our 'age' should be of any concern and we are both healthy and no known fertility issues as such so fingers crossed....
your stories give me hope as alot of you seemed to have conceived within a few months at least.
