Just wondering how long ppl get ewcm for?
This is only my 2nd cycle off the pill. Last time I got it for 3 days, which I thought was right, that's what I read, 3 days, then it dries up and on the last day of ewcm is when you ovulate.
Well I had ewcm for 2-3 days early in my cycle, I thought! Maybe it was something else instead. Coz I have it again now since Monday!!! And it's still going so that's 6 days!! Do other ppl get it for this long. And does this mean I will O on the last day?? Getting pretty sick of DTD to be honest, LMAO. Give me a break!!!!
Hi Sarajane - are u sure its ewcm and not "left overs" from dtd... its pretty hard to tell the difference alot of the time.... i usually have ewcm for abt 2-3days before o... have you thought abt charting with ff? that tells u when u o so u can pretty much rely on that so u can stop dtd
I can have a few days in a row. It varies a bit between cycles.
Basically you should try and look out for other fertility signs to be sure of when you O if you are confused by the amount of EWCM you are having. Try and focus on the feeling of your vulva. If you notice it seems "riper" on a particular day or you feel more lubricated then that is the day you have most likely O's also. Hindsight is a good thing and once you notice your secretions change back to sticky or dry then the fertile period has finished.
what about "O" pains Sara? do you notice any very small minor twinges or cramps in your abdomen? When I 'O' i know because of my CM changes and also i get tiny twinges/pains in my ovaries!! I think about 4/10 women get this (from what i read?) not sure... but try and notice things like that? And stick to FF like you have been doing....
I know it's a bit frustrating especially after coming off BCP's as your body is like "what the!?" and mine is still regulating also...
I stopped the BCP early this year and had really erratic CM for the first 2 cycles, especially the first cycle when I felt like I had at least one week straight of EWCM.
By the third cycle, everything was back to normal for me.

Actually I hope there's no next cycle and we caught the eggie this time!!!!
I was just reading the Fertility Friend support documents about EWCM (this is my first cycle off the Pill and I can't figure out what's going on!). It said that if you seem to be getting EWCM at the wrong time you might be confusing it with semen - what a vicious cycle to get stuck in, you'd have to DTD forever! It's worthwhile reading their advice on the subject.

I agree with the others who say ewcm can get mixed up for leftovers iykwim? I get it for about 3 days but if we have dtd it seems like i can have it for a lot longer. I also temp and check my cervix position so help pin point o.

Yeah I was thinking that too, we'd be DTD forever!! lol. But it seems to be there even if we only do it every second day, so that can't be it can it?? Luckily it has stopped now!!! lol, i was getting a bit tired. But also I don't think 'leftovers' can be that stretchy can they?? It was reeeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllly stretchy.
