    Unhappy What a waste...!

    Hi girls,
I wasn't sure where to put this thread but i'll give it a go here...(was going to put it in boohoo area but i thought that was general chat)

I think I'm ovulating right now, in fact I KNOW i am ovulating right now, CM seems to be the way everyone describes it when ovulating and i've even had tiny ovulation pains... these are new to me as i've been off BCP's now nearly 3mths. When on the pill i didn't get any of this (hence i wasn't ovulating!).

I'm just writing this to say, that I'm ovulating and boohoo what a waste of a good egg! I can't use it!!!!! We aren't TTC for another 2-3mths yet and it's killing me!!!!!! I cant' wait until August... I'm sooooo ready to have a baby... I want all the sickness and the vomiting and the dizziness... bring it on~! it's worth it! (ok, not lots of sickness! but some!).....

    Thanks for reading

Take comfort in the fact that your body is behaving itself and that when you are ready to start TTC that you will be ready!!! I know it is not fun to wiat, but think of all the fun you will have when you get there.
    Good Luck!

yep, take heart in that you know what your body is doing, and it is doing the right thing, so when you are ready, you will be able to time DTD much better.

At least when you are actually TTC, you will know what your body is doing & TTC should be a short trip I hope

just keep thinkin of the next few ovuations as practice. those eggs rnt ment to be. your super fertile mega egg will be waiting for u in aug. some people complain about their tww being too long to wait but have so much strength to wait months so u should get out and do all those things i cant do from aug. go have a few drinks with friends, go to a day spa.

SaraJane.... umm to be honest... I had a 48 day cycle after stopping the pills.... i waited for ages to get my period!! It was upsetting for me as i had heard stories some women take months to get their period (but i think that's rare).... so fingers crossed for you that you don't have to wait longer than 48day cycle because i felt that was long enough!!! after that, i then had a 30day cycle and now i'm in a 29 day cycle (i believe) and waiting on AF to arrive in few days time (if my calculations are correct!)...
you'll be fine... i went off pills mid-march this year and my period regulated within 8 weeks pretty much... but i do believe it was with the help of Blackmores Agnus Castus Vitex tablets... you get them at the chemist... try them! Take 2-3 per day and within days my period arrived! that was when i was waiting in the 48 day cycle, about day 45 i took them and it showed up 3 days later...

how regular were you before you went on the pill? I was always 28 day cycle before and on time before i went on pill, and now i'm off it i am just about back to being 28 day cycle....
also start taking pregnancy vitamins, get your folic acid levels up NOW, (if not already!) and also take B vitamins... i'm on Mega B Vitamins "natures way" from the chemist... $17 for a big container of them good value and they keep you healthy and help with your energy levels and also "may" help in preventing miscarriages i have read, and my friend told me that who has gone through 2 m/c before.... but I cannot tell you that it will protect you, it may or may not help you... nature will always take its course....KWIM???

    Thanks sassy

I think it was about 30 day cycle before. That was almost 6 years ago now tho. Lol, omg I have been on the pill for 6 yrs. Well no wonder it may take a while to come back.
I have been taking blackmores pre-conception vitamins but thats it.
What are those other ones you were talking about? What are they for?
    Thanks for the reply!!

SaraJane, don't worry to much, you are young so your body should bounce back better than an older person that has just come off BCP's (i believe anyway!). I was on BCP's since i was 17 so that was for 9 years! And my cycle is pretty much back to normal after nearly 3mths! don't worry too much...just wait and keep a record of how many days its been since coming off it (write in your diary) and then as soon as AF comes, write in your diary CD1, then CD2 etc etc and then hopefully you will ovulate on CD11-18 (anywhere between those days) but please do not take my word for it, you need to chart it on fertility friend but i don't use that yet... i just take note of my CM and change in discharge around that time of the month and i get slight ovulation pains that tell me i am ovluating... try and listen to your body... on the pill, you dont get things like that because you arent really ovluating....KWIM?? google "ovulation symptoms" or something like that and that will help you too!

Yes, start taking Blackmores Pregnancy Gold tablets (I am on them) or there is Elevit some women take that instead (same thing different brand)....
Blackmores Vitex Agnus Castus - get them from chemist or woolies... they are good for regulating your hormones and help regulate the balance of progesterone and oestrogen. google that and it will tell you all about it... you don't need prescription.. it's in the section with the multivitamins etc
Folic acid - you don't need to take those if you are already taking pregnancy vitamins as pregnancy vitamins will have 500mg of folic acid in it already (check the label to be sure). Folic acid prevents spina bifida or reduces the chances anyway... it's a neural tube defect in babies so by taking it you are reducing the chances of it occurring to your baby.

If you are already taking pregnancy vitamins then you are doing the right thing and you'll be fine.. that's heaps... but to regulate your cycle and help you get AF then try those Vitex Agnus Castus tablets... ask your chemist for them. doesn't matter what brand, but i use Blackmores for them. once AF arrives, then stop taking them... that's what i did anyway, just ask your doc or chemist if not sure...
    Good luck xx

(OH! my gosh! Sorry for the story!!!! I get carried away.... !! )
