Hi all I hope Ive posted in the right area sorry if I've done it wrong as this is ll new for me.
My partner an i have been trying for 5 to 6 months and I dont knwo what to do as now his is thinking there is something worng with him.
Im on elevit and he is now on Manavit. We have tried every position. Dam that was fun. My last Cycle I was a week late so I tested myself after 3 days of not getting my Cylcle it came back negative. Then on the Friday when i went to work I sicked up in the morning. I felt like all my stomach muscles were so sore but it was only a little spew. So due to the fact I couldnt sit as my desk all day I went to the docs. He did a Urine test negative then a blood test negative. Then i had to go and have a ultra sound done. My 1st one. The doc said all was good. Prior to that cycle I have been keeping a log and Ive been spot on every time. thats what I oulnt understand. When I got home and told my other half well he blammed himself as there must be something worg with him. I have spoken to my doc nd he recons get a Sperm Test done but Umm his not that way inclined.
Can anyone give me advise to what is ging on with me and what options i hve for him. I have even cut back on my coffee intake to 1 a day and drinking White and Green Tea. I dont knwo what else to do as this is all new to me. Yep and Im 30.
Early this year a doctor got me upset after I wanted to get a sript done for the pill he told me my Time is up That hurt. All i want is some positive news or help please
Have you tried charting your cycle? Not as fun as different positions , but you'll give yourselves a better chance. Temping so you know when you are set to go etc etc etc
Firstly, WELCOME!! BellyBelly is a great resource & lots of knowledgable people (I do not claim to be one of them!)
Second, have you considered natural therapy assistance? Using accupuncture, naturopathy, and other streams of NT can have a huge impact on both of you. Vitamins are one thing, but I doubt they'll have a huge impact on conception.
I think that you both need to have your fertility assessed by your doctor, or have a referral to a fertility specialist. You don't necessarily need to have any physical uterus/ovary issues to there still be a hormonal issue.
Okay new to this. so I would by a themostat and go from there? and just write down my temps. or is there a thread that I can read on how to do this. As Yep your talking to bad blonde here.
The docs are no help I knwo this forum is much better than them.
I have a book that I don't need on cycle charting. I can post it to you if you like? I read it out of interest, but IVF kind of precludes me from needing it!
maagster, I'll also agree with the others who have suggested charting your cycle. You can get a BBT thermometer from most pharmacies (you want digital and at least 1 or 2 decimal places for the temperature). You can see my charts at my link in my signature. That's a great website for charting and you can use the basic charting functions with a free membership. They also have a great online charting course to teach you how to do it.
As for assistance, there are certainly plenty of fertility clinics in Brisbane. I know there's an IVF clinic at Sunnybank which is probably the closest one to you that I know about and I would have thought would also do other fertility testing and treatments. Your GP will be able to tell you who is in your area and if they have any recommendation. But you don't need to worry about assistance until you've been TTC unsuccessfully for 12 months (unless you're over 35 and then you can get assistance after 6 months).
GL and I hope you get your BFP soon.

Nope still not preggy I think its to do with my work as I was a day late. Does any one know how to get around the everyday stress level when you manage a office. Ive even now drinking Rooibus Tea as I read its good for stress.
we tried for 13 months to get pregnant, tried absoluitely everything! Then after that 13th month we resigned ourselves to the fact that we just weren't gonna get pregnant naturally. That 14th month we only DTD once and we got pregnant. I put it down to the fact that we werent actually TRYING to get pregnant that month, we were totally relaxed about it and it happened.
So many people told me to just relax and it would happen. When you want something so badly its ust not possible to relax. All I cn say is that it will happen when it hapens and unfortunately there seems to be no way of rushing it for some of us
if you're stressed at work, then i'd def recommend natual therapy like acupuncture. i tried it when i was TTC & was also very stressed at work & it was successful. and i was of the opinion that even if it didn't help with TTC, at least it was generally beneficial.
i just also wanted to say for what the dr said to you about being 30. what a lot of rot! i was 34 when i stopped taking the pill, so you're definitely not too late on that score!
