Smile I think I've worked it out!

Ok, so, as most of you know I found out I was UTD last week & it shocked the heck outta me. I had no idea how far I was or anything.

I had a blood test on Monday & my gp thought from that that I was about 8 weeks. I didn't hear the numbers myself though, kids in the background

So, wow. More shock! I did HPT's with the girls on the day AF was missed, so 4 weeks & DS the week before AF was due! So only 3 weeks.
For me to miss a whole 8 weeks of pregnancy felt wierd. I normally feel that sick by 5 or so weeks there's no denying it. HG with both my girls.

So. I had AF early Jan. Not sure of the dates, but if the gp is right, I was already pg. So my AF before that was December 18. That works!

So, AF 18th December. I looked up a pregnancy calender & that would mean conception was... 1/1/10! That works. DH was home. (Also proves that alcohol does cause pregnancy ) So I figure the AF I had early Jan was an implantation bleed? That can happen about 7 days after conception can't it?? It did last a few days, but was pretty light.

So, by mid Jan I should've been feeling a bit suss. The thought didn't once cross my mind. My birthday at the end of Jan. Still didn't consider it.
Then after my birthday I find out Dad has gastro. Then DS & DH both have gastro. I started to feel a bit off, but just figured it was the gastro hanging around, but I hadn't gotten it full force.

Then on 9/2 I threw up. Nothing. Number 1 clue. Add to that the incredible dizziness I had that morning & I sent DH for a HPT while I freaked out & had a sleep.

I wasn't expecting it. At all. As I waited for the results I did not prepare myself for the screen to say 'PREGNANT'. I really thought there was no way. DH had only been home just over a week & we were fighting for the first 4 days.

But now, here I am. & if the dates are right I'm 9 weeks today. I'm almost past the first tri already! & if I hadn't had that one bad morning I still don't think I'd know!

So, anyway. Just thought I'd share. I'm trying so hard to wrap my head around it all. First that I'm pregnant in the first place, & then that I'm so far already.

Oh, yeah, my due date from that is September 23. Not October like I thought, lol. Will wait for my u/s before I rely on that though

I haven't quite skipped the m/s. I still feel off. But its almost nothing, lol. My mouth just wants to eat non stop. & the smells are there. I don't know if they were like that before or not!

Hey bjrose - congratz on the pregnancy! It just goes to show that you can't always rely on your body's signs and symptoms!
