I'm with Curly! Having a baby in the second half of the year means they won't be the youngest at school. I think the cut off for starting school is that they have to be 5 yrs old by the 30th of May. So if you're baby is born on say the 1st of May, you need to weigh up whether to send them to school or keep the back until the following year. If you need to work, but want to keep them back, that can be another year of childcare costs. But then, if money is no obstacle, how lovely to have your child at home for another year!
