question on cycle dates

hope i can get some help with this one and i hope it is not to confusing and i feel a little silly asking but i am having a bit of a moment here lol

okay i am on cd27 meaning of course tommorrow is cd28 so if af arrives overnight does that mean my cycle is 27 days or 28 days

or put it another way

when i get asked my cycle length i usually say 28 days, however it has got me thinking, if af starts as day 1 and it starts on the 28th day from the last cycle does that mean my cycle length is 27 or 28 days

I *think* it means your cycles are 27 days.

I used to get confused about this too, but when I looked at how FF classified my cycle lengths, they only counted up until the day before AF arrives IYKWIM. So if AF arrives on day 28, then your cycle is 27 days long.

yes i was thinking how can you be on day 1 and day 28 at the same time lol.

at least one good thing is my cycles seem to be spot on the last few months.

Yep, if you got AF on CD 28 your cycle was 27 days... :)
