    Interesting incident temping this morning...

I am one of those people that has a lot of trouble sleeping and I wake repeatedly at night. This past couple of weeks especially, I have been finding I can't fall into a deep sleep, I spend the entire night in REM sleep, dreaming crazy dreams.

My mobile phone alarm is generally set for 5:30am to temp.

This morning however, I ended up waking up at 4:39am because I needed to pee.
Quickly grabbed BBT thermometer and stuffed it in mouth to get a temperature reading of 36.52, scribbled it down in my bedside diary, ran to toilet. Immediately after peeing, crawled back into bed to sleep some more.

My alarm didn't end up going off, because my stupid mobile battery had run dry and the phone shut off, so no alarm at 6:30, ended up sleeping until 9:30am.
At 9:30am, having forgotten that I'd temped at 4:40, I instinctively stuffed thermometer in my mouth and temped again -- this time getting 36.66
    Big difference.

On another forum I frequent, there was a user who said to me over a week ago that basically if I couldn't temp at the same time each day, then I shouldn't bother doing it as there was no way I could hope to learn any useful information from it. This actually upset me greatly, because it made me feel like I'd been wasting my time.
I can't HELP what is currently happening with my sleeping, if I could sleep like a normal person and take perfect temps I would, but I'm not perfect and nor is the world, so I worried about it...
Another woman said to me that if I took it early or late, I should use a BBT adjuster to fix it.... though I have read on FF website that they recommend NOT doing that because BBT goes on a womans unique metabolism and no calculation method could accurately fix it because each woman is different.

Out of interest this morning though, I found a website that did BBT adjusting.

    Actual 4:40am temp: 36.52
    Adjusted 4:40am temp: 36.65
    Actual 9:30am temp: 36.66

I didn't bother to fiddle with the 9:30 temp, but it amused the heck out of me that the adjusted 4:40 temp was so close to the actual 9:30 temp!!!

MD, it depends on ambient temperature at the time you take your temp as to what your body temp will be also. I always found that if I overslept my temp would be higher, until we got a house with AC in the master bedroom and a more even climate.
