    Smile Gut feelings on gender

    Hey ladies
Just wondering how many of you had a gut feeling on the gender of your first child/any child, before you were even UTD or even thought about TTC?
I have a gut feeling when my partner and I start TTC that the first will be a boy. Without a doubt in my mind.
Anyone else? And have you been correct? What about multiples? Ever had a feeling you just knew you were going to have twins or more? And did you?

    TIA xx
    Anna

I had a feeling when we were TTC Amelia that we'd be having a girl (though that briefly changed when I actually got pregnant and thought she was b/g twins, and back to just girl when we found out it was just one baby in there)

This baby I *knew* was a boy from the moment we started TTC. Don't know yet if I'm right or not, but it's such a strong feeling that I would be very surprised if it turns out to be a girl

I was totally convinced I would have two boys before TTC. When we were told at the 20 wk u/s we were having a girl, I believed there was a mistake. With DD2 we didn't find out and again I was totally convinced I was having a boy (as were most people who know me). I was pretty surprised that we had a second girl. Wouldn't change anything for the world mind you.

I had very strong feelings on the gender from the moment I returned a positive test for both pregnancies & I was right both times. Before concieving DD though, I was convinced I'd have two boys. Before I concieved DS, I was convinced I'd have only girls lol.

I think there are babies 'knocking' and then there are those who get through itms?

I always dreamt of a little boy before having dd, but then I knew it wasn't him when I found out I was pg. same then with ds. I knew it was a boy but not that boy.

Now I dream of that boy as a five year old, which is how old he would have been if I'd conceived him then.

Now I'm pg again and I really think its a girl. I will be so shocked of its a boy! I feel her presence.

I always believed we would have boys. Every dream where we were parents we had boys.
When pregnant I was convinced every time I was having a boy.
    I was wrong 3 times!

When TTC I knew we would have a girl and call her Hadassah but she would be born at the right time

When I finally conceived after a year I knew it wasn't her yet and that it was a boy , at 20 weeks we discovered it was a boy -Eliya

7 months later I was pregnant again and this time I knew it was a girl and her name was Hadassah and at 20 weeks we found out she was a girl now she is 3 months and is called Hadassah (Hattie)

I just knew both times and I was right both times. It was definitely a gut instinct.

My gut instinct said girl but at a scan at 24 weeks when the sonigrapher asked did I know what I was having and I said no, then she put the scan thing on my belly and said quickly do you want to know I can tell you. (I said no)
I started to doubt my gut instinct and thought if she could see so easy it must be a boy in there!
I still used to practice saying the girl name we had on the top of the list though when in the car talking to my belly

I knew DS1 was a boy from the moment I got a BFP. I just knew, no doubts. With DSs2&3 and then DD I had no idea! I did however have gender dreams with DS2&3 which were accurate, but no dream with DD. I remember thinking a few days before she was born (on her due date) that I couldn't go into labour because I hadn't had my gender dream yet She made me wait to find out

I knew Ianto was a boy when I got my BFP, but I was in denial that I'd have a boy first and insisted on calling him "she" until he was born At almost every appointment I'd say something like "she's been kicking a bit today" and the doctor/midwife would ask me why it wasn't in my file that I knew baby was a girl

With both Joshua and Cameron I had a gut feeling they were boys. I somehow can't picture myself with a girl, I think I look at myself and think no way! lol

I *knew* for years before TTC that I was having two boys. It felt like more than just thinking it, it was really like a certainty that was just there without me thinking about it. So with my first I was sure he was a boy. With the second I let my head second guess myself and wondered if it could go either way but I still *knew* he was a boy and whenever I wasn't thinking I would call him our boys name by accident.

I knew as soon as I got my BFP I was having a boy, it was a strange feeling but I just knew 100% there was not a little girl in there! At 20 weeks I was proved right! I had a miscarriage before DS and that felt like a little girl even though she didn't hang around long I just knew.

Trying for number 2 now and I feel it will be another boy. Hopefully I get the same "feelings" again next time!

    Gut feelings on gender

    Had no idea!
Have been pg three times but only one pg resulted in bubs.
Had no feelings of gender at all.
Did have dream of me holding a baby while in hospital, baby had dark hair (I'm fair haired) and can still see that 'photo' in my head.
It was a de ja vu moment, when it came true.
I really thought I was having a boy by the end, as everyone kept telling me boy.
Only one of my friends mum, said girl, and in fact told my GF before I announced I was preg, that I was pg and it would be a girl with dark hair. I hadn't seen her I'm years, and she knew, before anyone.

I never really had any idea, the week before I thought boy this time and was right and the day before with DD I thought girl. Had my pregnancies gone longer than I probably would have changed my thoughts too! So, I guess for me I had no idea However, DD referred to DS as 'him' or 'he' the entire pregnancy
