    just wondering

    Hi all,
I'm new here. My partner and i are trying for baby number 3, I think I O'd on the 23rd or 24th of this month. For the past two days i've had really bad nausea (to the point where i've had to stop what i'm doing and sit down until it passes).
My period isn't due until the 7th of sept, isn't it to early to be showing any symptoms if I am pregnant?
    Help!

It'd be too early to test, but I had symptoms nearly straight away. I was vomiting by a week after conception. My boobs exploded within 2 days.

Good luck and I hope you get the result you're wanting!

I've certainly heard of people that think they have had symptoms extremely early. From a scientific point of view it would be highly unlikely to have morning sickness caused by pregnancy this early. The reason is that after you ovulate it takes 7-10 days for the egg/embryo to travel to your uterus and implant. After implantation is when the egg and developing placenta start to produce hCG which helps continue the production of higher levels of progesterone. It's believe that the hCG or the increased progesterone is what is responsible for morning sickness.

Straight after you ovulation the follicle that released the egg turns into the corpus luteum which produces the progesterone required for a pregnancy to establish. This happens regardless of whether the egg is fertilised though, so if this amount of progesterone was enough to give you morning sickness then you would feel it during every cycle after you ovulate. It's not until the egg starts producing hCG that the amount of progesterone increases.

My morning sickness has started at 5 weeks all 4 of my pregnancies (including my angel's).

    I hope that was helpful
