Not 100% sure where to put this post as it's a bit of a mix!
So anyway... In early April I had Implanon removed from my arm and the Dr put me straight on the pill. I had pretty constant bleeding on it, so he thought I should just start the pill straight away. All went fine, I had a couple of days of light spotting after I had the Implanon removed. I started taking the pill as normal and then when it came to the sugar pills I got AF after 2 days, had it for 5. DH and I decided to start TTC so I stopped the pill on Friday. On Thursday I had cramps like AF was coming and low and behold after stopping the pill I have got AF and man she's nasty So now I'm confused and I guess the answer is simple and I have to wait and let my cycles settle down but boy it's frustrating. So with AF, do you think that me taking the pill has been holding back a "proper" AF or it would have come anyway?
Have I made any sense? sorry, it's Sunday morning and I'm still in La La Land I think!
I dont know about you, but I can share my story of coming off the pill after 13 years.
We decided to TTC this year- around july, so I went off the pill in dec. Since then I have been irregular 28 days, 28 days, 35 days, 31 days....to today where I have just found out that we're pregnant. We started earlier because of a pending surgery I wanted to avoid and hey...it was gonna happen sooner or later!
I wanted to wait until I had some 'real' period cycles, to let my body adjust. Your body is prob doing the same, working its self and the cycle lengths out. Maybe wait a little then start TTC.
Coming off the pill generally causes another "AF" and I found worse than normal.
If you have only just come off it, I would see how you go for a couple of months, but unless you had irregular cycles beforehand, I would say, from my experience, that it will return to 'normal' pretty quickly (hopefully that makes sense!)
