Hey everyone! I hope this finds you all well and with the test results you are hoping for!
Bit of a background story:
i'm 29, hubby is 31 and we have been ttc for about 18 months now. I am overweight (but trying to get that sorted!!) and have always been pretty irregular on the AF side of things. The last 6 months AF has been rather regular - well for me anyways - arriving every 5 weeks but always around that 5 week mark (charting is next to useless as i'm not the most regular gal). I am now 7 weeks past my last AF visit and have the following:
Cramping
usual shoulder/backaches i get when AF is imminent
lots of CM discharge
and over the last few days have had what i guess is some spotting (very little amount of blood on the paper after wiping just once a day for the last 3 days)
today noticed that my CM was a little on the red/brown side - again not much of it
apart from that nothing else out of the ordinary. Yes i have had u/p sex over that time.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this and what it could be??? Took a prg test which came up neg unfortunately.
kellijh have you been to a Dr yet about your cycles and not been pregnant after 18months ttc? Perhaps now is the time to seek their opinion or within the next 6months if your feeling ready for that. Its very frustrating isn't it? I also have been ttc for 18months and have seen numerous Dr's and Gynos and I know why I am not pregnant because of this and finally have a plan of action if I am not pregnant within the next 6months.
To start with I had tests to confirm I was ovulating which I was and a scan to check for cysts and polycystic ovaries. Then I had a laparoscopy (for ectopic pregnancy not for fertility investigations) and it was then that I was diagnosed with what our problem is. Although it sucks and I am grieving becuase of why I can't fall pregnant it is good knowing why (not that I am saying there must be a problem) but it is helpful to know if everything is ok or not.
Best of luck I hope it happens for you soon or you get some answers to help make you pregnant.
Perhaps if you have just had a bit of spotting you O'd really late and are having an implantation bleed? I am suggesting this as last month (when I got my BFP - unfortunately it didn't last) I had lots of CM and did a test a little after I thought AF was due but got a BFN. About a week later I had some spotting and then tested about 4 days after that and got a BFP.....
GrinnysGirl - thanks for your post! Its so frustrating isnt it! still no sign of AF!!! Did another POAS this morning - first thing- still nothing. Its weird, am still getting all the pains, twangs and annoyance that comes with AF's impending arrival but no action! What a weird world - where we are actually looking forward to AF arriving! At least then we'd have something to work on!
I have my first appointment with a FS from Repromed in adelaide in 3 weeks. Its a bit scary but hopefully with all the technology they have there they will be able to work something out as to whats going on, what my problem is and how we can fix it!
How about you - can i ask how your journey is going?
Hey, I am super happy ( happier than i thought i'd be, as i was hoping i was preg) to report that AF arrived!!
It started with the spotting which i thought might be inplantation as it wasn't normal for me.. but by Tuesday morning i knew it was AF.
I'm just glad I can start charting now.. i know my body was all out of whack as i had a m/c on the 18th of Feb.
All sorts of things can affect you AF.. like your diet- if you dramatically cut down your food intake it can stop all together (this happened to a friend of mine)..
If you change your physical excersise or you could have cysts.. and lots of other reasons.
Our bodies are just a pain in the butt sometimes!!!!! & it really sucks not to be in control of your own body.
I'm sure your AF will turn up.. when its good and ready & not a second b4 lol!!
We tend to worry about these things far more than we need to (but we cant help it!!) Sometime i think worrying about it probably makes it worse???
i can recommend a traditional chinese herb called Dong Quai for regulating your cycle.
I hope you get some answers soon!!
have you tried doing another HPT? it does soud a bit like implantation to me?? has your spotting stopped it takes a couple days for the HCG to show up after implantation so you should get an accurate result now??
fingers crossed for you x
Still no sign of AF - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. But glad for you that your's arrived - but disappointed for you that you arent pg as u were hoping!
AF certainly does like to visit in her own time. Its so great tho to hear on these boards of people who have had success after a while - gives you hope doesnt it! its amazing what you'll tell complete strangers here that u wouldnt tell your friends. I guess annonymity helps people to spill their deepest darkest huh!
So i would love to continue chatting throughout our ups and downs and thought i might share a bit of info about me and if you feel comfortable - u might like to do the same!
I'm 29 and my Dh is 32. We've been married for just over 6 years and together for 12!! I live in country SA with my DH and 2 fur babies. We've been trying on and off for the last 18 months or so and have our first appt with the fertility specialist in late april - of which i must say i am very nervous about. but i guess if they find any problem at least we have a starting off point! So its been all natural trying until then!
I hope things are well for you - look forward to chatting again!
Welllllll i',m excited to say im now 6 weeks pregnant!! I cant believe I only had one AF after M/C and then concieved right away. we are really lucky.
I'm not sure I have "ups and downs" to share with you anymore, but i'm happy to listen
I'm 26 & my DH is 29. we have 2 kids aged almost 6 and almost 3 but they are from a previous relationship so this is our first baby together I'm in Country WA.
Do u know if you are ovulating? that would b the first thing i'd be looking at. I had brilliant sucess with "maybe baby".
