a little concerned.. looking for advice

    hi everyone!
Just looking for some other people's experiences/advice. (sorry if this ends up being a bit of a long post)
i know a lot of women experience sore bb when af is on her way, but ive never been one of them. DP and i haven't been ttc specifically, but havent been too careful when it comes to contraception either.
over the last week or so, ive had really sore bb, at one point even a stabbing sharp pain in left bb. i've noticed they seem swollen or like they've grown a little because they don't fit into my bras as well as they usually do- which DP has noticed and pointed out to me.. of course!
i'm wondering if this could be an early pregnancy symptom? im on CD 24 of my regular 26 day cycle, so af is not late yet. have had a bit of cramping as well- feels different to af cramping and have been ignoring it thinking it must be stomach cramps, maybe indigestion.
i'm a little concerned about the sore bb because its unusual for me. am planning to make a docs appt to get checked out but figure i should wait and see if af is late first.
just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before af was late? and if the sharp pain is normal.. i assumed they would just be tender (which they are) but to experience the sharp pain as well has worried me a bit.
    thanks to anyone who answers!

Have you done a pregnancy test? I noticed tender breasts before I noticed AF was late - but then I think I was maybe 5w gone at the time. I never had sore or swollen breasts pre-AF before, it wasn't a stabbing pain unless something hit them (like me, trying to work out how tender they were... yes, I know, I'm an eejit). I get the sharp stabbing pains now, but can't remember getting them in pregnancy - so it is normal, I'm sure it is for pregnancy too.

Sorry, not been much help, but I'm another one whose DH noticed her breast growth before she did! Good luck for the HPT.

I just had extremely sore breasts for the last 4 days leading up to AF arriving, i thought i may have been preg but turns out it was AF(it was 5 days overdue)... came off pill 3mths ago too so my body is regulating...
it can be either AF arriving OR early preg symptoms.... they tend to be very similar to each other for some ppl... good luck i hope you get a BFP if that is what you are hoping for!! Test on the day you are due for AF and see how you go??

thanks a lot for ur replies. by the sounds of it my best bet is to wait and see if af shows up and if not, do a hpt. if thats a bfn, then ill probably go see the doc if things havent changed
thanks girls! good luck to all of u ttc and having to suffer through the tww!!

ugh. really not feeling well today. well tonight.
got nausea for no apparent reason- it came on suddenly and just isn't going away- almost confused it for cramps but it's higher than cramping would be (sort of just under ribs). i don't feel like i'm going to throw up but there's definite discomfort there.
af is due tomorrow but can sometimes be a day early or late. i feel like it will come any second because i've had some cramps (though they felt a little different to af cramps) and keep feeling damp down there (tmi? sorry!) not exactly sure what's going on.
bb arent as tender anymore- haven't been hurting but are still a bit sensitive. i've had a total loss of interest in BD too. no idea why, just really not interested at all. (much to DP's disappointment )
has anybody else had that? the loss of interest in BD? i've heard it can be a pregnancy symptom.
almost just hoping af shows up tomorrow just to know cos the wait is agonising!

I've had the symptoms you are describing and not been pregnant.... and I've only had those types of symptoms since I've been TTC in earnest since my recent m/c.

When I was pregnant the only thing I felt before AF was overdue was tiredness like I'd never felt before.

satya- sorry to hear about your m/c..
i haven't had implantation bleeding or any other kind of tell-tale signs that would make being UTD a lot more likely but there's something weird about the symptoms i have had- cos even in the past when i've thought i might be UTD and af has been late etc i didn't have these symptoms.
    not knowing is horrible!!!
