How often do you DTD?

This is our 4th month of TTC#2. We DTD every second day and still no luck!!! I'm getting more and more depressed because we want the kids to be close together in age. Can anyone suggest a more successful method?

Hi 1tm,
Most FS's suggest every second day around O time, are you charting or using OPK's atm, that tends to help pick the perfect time for DTD.
I admit that this cycle DH and I are DTD 2x a day because we know I am due to O either today or tomorrow and we want to make sure we are covered. But over doing it does apparently decrease swimmer effectiveness.
Unfortunately, having the egg meet the sperm is something you just can't control, you just have to keep at it and hope for the best hun.

When we were trying for Caeleb we DTD twice a day, every day for three days prior and two days after O. Worked for us! Hope that helps.

I dtd once the month I concieved this bub. How lucky is that.

Sorry hun. No real answer. As long as you are dtd you are bound to catch that egg at some time.

Like Trish, I only BD once the month I fell pg with Sebastian! AND it was 3 days before O. All the other months we DTD every 2 days around O time! Most specialists suggest every second day. If you want to make sure, I would start charting and/or using OPK's so you know when you are ovulating - that will maximise your chances of success. Good luck!
