This is following on from my earlier posts starting yesterday regarding blood in cervical mucus.
I am CD18 today and for the past 24+ hours I have had red blood in my CM.
I thought I ovulated on Thursday or Friday (four days or so ago) but I can only assume this blood is due to ovulation. I have never had this before.
I am hoping to hear from people who have bleeding or spotting with ovulation. How long does it last? Is it red? Or brown? Does it come before or after ovulation?
N2l could it be a progesterone issue or a luteal phase defect? I've had similar when I was ttc and it was found my progesterone was low causing a lpd. Maybe something to look into with your gp/fs.
Is it only in cm and very light or a constant 'flow'?
Hope its only ovulation causing your bleed. It's kind of early for an implantation bleed.
N2L, I'm not one to know much about mid cycle bleeding/implantation bleeding, but a close GF of mine had mic cycle spotting and now she's a month away from having her wee man. GL hun, I hope it's implantation bleeding!!!!! FXFXFXFXFXFXFXFXFX
I am almost 100 per cent sure it isn't a problem with progesterone or a LPD. In more than 25 years of having a period I have never had a short cycle (that I can remember!) and my progesterone has always been good.
The blood is definitely in my CM.
MissB, I would love to believe it is implantation but I think it is too early
If anyone has any experience of early implantation bleeds, I am more than happy to be proven wrong
I often have breakthrough bleeding and blood in cm. when I've ben ttc I have noticed it to be often around o time. doctors have never really explained exactly why it happens.
Is it really red or more browny pink? There are a few possible reasons that I know of, thrush (although you would most likely know if it was) old blood that's left over from af, sensitive cervix from sex and implantation bleeding. Also, if you've been under any stress, physical or emotional it can stuff with you a little.
My cycles aren't regular and I havent used ivf, so it's a bit of a different story. Could you speak with your doctor? He/she might be able to shed some more light as to why it's suddenly happening this month.
I have my fingers crossed but I am also realistic. Enough to know it is highly unlikely that after over a year of assisted conception that I would get UTD naturally . Happy to be proven wrong though
