Need advice - Adelaide Path Clinic ?

Hi all,

I’ll be on holidays in Adelaide next week when my final blood test is due.

Can anyone suggest a Pathology lab in Adelaide with a single-day turn-around for Hcg, E2 and P4 testing? (not a fertility clinic as I wont have a referral for an adelaide doctor). I want the results the same day as they’d need to ring my Perth FS clinic who’d then ring me – so I find out quickly if I have to take any progesterone supplements without waiting days for results to be phoned in ?

Hi Sharon,

Try Clinpath, they are part of the Sonic Healthcare group who I worked for for 9 years before becoming a full time Mummy. They have 2 collection centres in Adelaide city, one in Wakefield St and one in South Terrace. There should be no probs with getting a same day turn around for HCG, E2and P4, they are all done on an automatic analyser so only take a few hours. See if you can get your path request marked urgent or priority 1 so the blood doesn't get caught up in specimen reception with all the routine work going through.
