Oestrogen dominance

Hi everyone,

I am new to this fourm and have a question about oestrogen dominance or high oestrogen levels.

My husband and I have been trying for nearly 18 months and I am not sure if I am ovulating. Blood test back in April last year showed that my hormone levels were ok and ovulation occurred. Since then I have done acupuncture and herbs which helped greatly with pms symptoms but unfortunately did not help us achieve a pregnancy.
I have had ultrasound and a HSG scan which showed that my uterus is fine and there are no blockages. My AHM level was high, which my fertility specialist said may indicate PCOS but she did not seem to phased by this as my hormone levels looked ok and I do not have any other symptoms.

My question is that I do not get any symptoms of ovulation (EWCM etc) and have quite tender breasts (only in the front) and get pretty teary for a couple of weeks before I get my period.
I have done a bit of reading and I think I am suffering from Oestrogen dominance. Has anyone else heard or sufferred from this and what treatments are available??? is it possible to still get pregnant with this???

Has your DH been checked for issues at all? The problem may no lie with you, if indeed there is a problem at all.

Taking maca root will help to balance all your hormones out. I have a 2/2 strike rate on cycles where I've taken it.

I second maca. DH took it too as it increased energy and sex drive. Woot!
