Question Off the pill.... no period?

Hi - I'm 28 and went off the pill about 5-6 weeks ago. i had a BC bleed (withdrawl bleed
) 2 days after stopping. 28 days later nothing. and now AF is 2 weeks overdue. my DH and I are not TTC yet (using condoms), just wondering when it'll come. is it possible to get pregnant when your normal AF hasn't returned?

It may take a few months for your body to adjust xoxox
And yes it is possible to get pregnant before AF

I was on the pill for 10 years and stopped to see if i could have natural cycles. We were still not TTC. 3 months later i got my HPT. it's actually really nice when you are not trying, but wouldn't be dissappointed if it happened.

Give it time.... Your body has been forced into artificial cycles for so long it can take a bit to get back to normal.

When I came off the pill to start TTC I had a 47 day cycle that month. Just takes some time.

are your cycles usually pretty regular? like 28 days or something? or have they been a bit all over the place before? it may take a while for your body to adjust coming off the pill, especially if you've been on it for a while. but yes, it is possible for you to get pregnant before first AF returns......have you done a test just to make sure? hope you get an answer soon

It is possible! With DS I became pregnant within weeks of stopping the pill, I'm pretty sure my "normal period" hadn't even arrived yet. With this one, I stopped the pill about 8 months before I fell pregnant. But my period didn't return until about 3 months after I stopped. We weren't trying to TTC (using condoms) until my periods were "regular" (My cycles are loooong), I wanted to get to know my cycles before we started as we were trying for a girl.

Same here, in fact my cycle probably started the day after i stopped. What i thought was my period was implantation bleeding. It can happen

thanks everyone for their feedback. still waiting for AF (dont think i've ever actually WANTED to have AF until now ha ha).
HPT is negative - we're using protection anyway so I didn't think I was pregnant --wouldn't be the worst thing if i was but want to wait about 6 weeks...

I've been reading on the net that it usually takes 1-3 months to get your period after going off the pill but can take up to 1 year and sometimes longer. And then when you get it it can take quite a few cycles (6-12 months or more) to get back to a normal pattern.

i'll just play the waiting game....
