    Most sensitive HPT

    Hi Guys,
Im just wondering if someone can tell me the most sensitive HPT available in supermarkets or chemists?
Ive had a really bizzare cycle this month, and my BB have been really sensitive for over a week, my AF is due either yesterday, OR next week (I had unexpected bleeding about 6 days after the start of my last AF).
Ive done a few HPTs all BFNs but I still have sore BB, I'm crying over stupid stuff (like Skye leaving Ramsey street....and I havent even watched the show in 2 years til tonight!), I was light headed at work yesterday, but that passed.

Im probably just imagining all the symptoms in hope of getting a BFP, but I don't want to wait til next week, cause if I AM pg (but don't know it), I'm stressing heaps and that can't be good!

Hope someone can help, I know lullaby do sensitive ones, but I don't want to wait for them in the mail, I need to be able to go get one in the morning! (Im in melbournes Eastern Suburbs)!

    thanks everyone

Hi BabyWrangler, i think fortel ultra are 10mlu. It could be fortel extra. Anyway this wont help as i have heard that they are extremly unreliable and they havent been on the supermarket shelves lately. Um there's a thread somewhere about HPT's. Crystal Clear is good and 25mlu
Good Luck I hope it's a BFP for you

The only one that has ever worked for me is the First Response - which you can get at Safeway. I remember reading about it three years ago that it was pretty accurate.

I tried other brands with my second pregnancy after it was confirmed with a BT but they came up negative when they should have worked at the level of HCG I had. (I really wanted to see the 2 lines but never got to).

It is not the most expensive either. I saw it on special there today, but I am not brave enough to buy any yet. My AF could still come tomorrow or the next day.

Thanks for your replies (heres hoping for BFP's for everyone).
I took another HPT today (yes, im a freak), and it did a weird thing...
Ive taken a few over the past week, and they have all been one line, but this one today with my FMU I could see where the second line would be if I'd had one.

With all the others, there was definately only one line and even hours later, one line, todays, there was like a shadow....it was faint, very very very faint, but I could see it...thats not to say its a BFP I understand...just made me wonder.

With my cycle so out of wack this month, I guess its possible (though not likely) that I am in the extremely early stages.

Thank you for your replies though, I ordered some ultra sensitive tests off ebay (good ol' ebay), and I bought some First Response brand today, and will do one with my FMU tomorrow.

Whilst my fingers are crossed, I won't hold my breath!

Good luck for everyone else this month!

Geeez just to confuse me even more!

I did 2 HPT this morning (different brands, one just you regular cardboard stick style, the other was a clear blue digital..which is what I used yesterday).
The cardboard stick came up neg, no sign of a second line.
The digital one, the screen said not pregnant (bummer), but the insert (which, if you eject it, shows lines or not), showed the control line, and another faint one, the control and the other one were darker than yesterdays (i used the digital yesterday). The second line (the faint one) was dark enough that I could still see it at arms length.

    Im all confused now!
I tried to work it all out (just roughly, by dates, which I know isn't accurate but its all I've got right now!)
Based on the first AF I had last month, I would now be one day over due (but I'm assuming my clock re-set with the second AF).

Based on my SECOND AF (and just counting days) I would be roughly 9 DPO.

Is it possible I'm just testing too early?

I don't want to go have a blood test yet as it probably won't show anything up anyway.

Nothing like a 3 week long two week wait to keep you on edge!
AF due Saturday I think...got an O pain feeling on my right side today, and had that "AF is coming" sort of lower dull achey pain yesterday...

I guess I have to wait an see...

    Hi Babywrangler

Have you tried getting 10miu HPTs, they are ultra early preggo tests, much more sensitive then Clear blue and First Response. I got my first v v v faint BFP on these around 8 or 9 DPO.

The ones I got were v v cheap around £5 for 10 which is around $12-15AUD. I had to wait for them in the mail but they arrived the next day. Try babymad.com or google it and you should find something.

Apparantly the ones you buy from chemist/over the counter only detect 25miu or over and more often nearer 50miu.

    Hope that helps.

    Keeping fingers crossed -x-

Hi, I know it will be hard but try to wait another 2 or 3 days before testing again so that you will have a more accurate result iykwim?
Not wanting to dampen your spirits but with the digital hpt's, they usually show 2 lines inside even if it's a negative. They arent meant to be pulled apart. Also i think thay are 50mlu.
If you are only 9dpo it's probably still too early for it to show so my fingers are crossed for you

    Thanks for your replies guys.

I used a digital one last week just to see (cause as I said, not sure if I was due for AF last week or this week), and I only got the one line, thats why I was a bit confused afterwards.

I didnt pull the thing apart as such, just ejected the cartridge and saw the lines.

Oh well...I'll wait it out a few days, I'm likely to get AF anyway!!!

    Hi Ticklish,
    I got them from Coles...
I had a faint with first response, but the Confirm one is more definate.

They are on special this week, 2 tests for under $9!
They seem good, I got 2 (last night, and this morning), yet my supposedly ultra sensitive ones of the net (from ebay mind you) show only the faintest of faint shadows (more like an evap line really)

Looks like Confirm are the ones for me!

Thanks for that Babywrangler - might have to switch brands! Good price too!!

Not even the faintest line for me - all my BFNs have been the clearest BFNs you have ever seen -and AF is OVERDUE!!!

Hi Princess Confused - I think it is more a question of us ladies all secreting different amounts HCG in our urine at the same stage compared to higher detectable levels in BTs which makes the accuracy of pee tests different for all of us.

I am just hoping that is my problem anyway!!!
