    O'ing too early??

So, Im a classic 28 day cycle.

Today is CD10 and I just got a +OPK. My naturopath keeps saying O'ing on day 12 is a little too early, but i cannot see an issue with O'ing on day 12 as o'ing on cd12 is regular.

I am a little concerned with o'ing on day 11 tho. i guess it is a possibility i still could O on day 12, considering i tested + tonight.

WDYT? is CD10 too early to O?

DTD is definately on the menu!!

DP things his sperms wont be fresh or as 'good' if we do it 3 days in a row ... but he really doesnt have a say (not that he would complain!!)

if you are using OPK's and you get a +ve then you can o within 24 - 48 hours.. I didnt think o'ing early was a problem. I guess it depends on the length of your cycle..

Happy I hope you catch that eggie...

I have always O'd early between day 10 and 13 and have a 28 day cycle and have fallen pregnant 6 times the only time i have O'd late was after a round of PGD IVF which mucked up my cycle for a while and i O'd on day 14-16 for two months until i went back to normal so i don't think it matters your follies grow because of your hormones and my FS said it is possible to O during AF or just after but not common so don't worry i get my 1st pos and peak on OPK'S and my CBFM between day 9 and 10 and O not long after.

    Good luck.

fingers crossed the eggie n spermie will meet this month!

Ferrals - My cousin O's during AF it's only since being on metformin that she has a 'normal' cycle (she has PCOS quite severe) so I do know O'ing during AF is possible - but the naturopath seems to think Im o'ing too early and that's on day 12. Which to me - hey, as long as I regulary o around that time it shouldnt matter? Should it? isnt it not too good to have a long LP?

Ya know its crazy - you are taught about AF in school - but when you actually grow up you come to realise alot of what they told you couldnt be further from the truth

They say the LP should be between 12 and 16 days so as long as that is about right for you then don't worry i usually get AF 13-14 days after i O but if i O on day 11 my cycle is shorter Af will show day 26 i have been doing a BBT chart and even if i O on different days AF always shows up 14 days later and my cycle the last few months has been 27 days 28 days and 26 days so i think i O earlier from one ovary and a day or two later from the other ovary how strange our bodies can be.

I wish i didn't have to be that observent but i am a bit older now ttc and it is taking longer than when i was younger and we have a genetic problem to over come so i am trying to speed things up by being observent but it is peeing me off i used to just DTD once and i was UTD not anymore.

I dont think I've ever been that fertile lol.

If someone told me TTC was going to be so hard - I would never have believed them! I feel like the more i learn about my body - the following month something else happens and throws out what i just learnt?!

We've given ourselves until Sept to get a BFP - then we will start the ball rolling with IUI. I struggled when the gyno told me the only thing he could do for us is refer us to an IVF clinic!

Yeh i know what you mean i took getting pregnant forgranted when i was younger i didn't really have to try just decided that we wanted to try for a baby then i was pregnant the next month now we have been ttc for 6 months with no luck i have made an appointment with a FS on the 26th of this month because i am over 35 and we have been ttc for 6 months and they say give it 6 months before you see someone the PGD IVF was to test our embryo for our bad gene but at $13000 a cycle we could only afford to do it once which we didnt get to TF as the embryo was affected with our bad gene so now we have to take the chance and hope the baby will be ok and now i have the challenge of just getting pregnant.

I hope everything works out well and you have a healthy bub That would put a bit more stress on you for sure! Last month I was quite upset about the whole TTC saga (7 ppl in my family UTD) I really just had enough of the false hope i was giving myself each month. but after talking with DP (he calms me down and helps me put things into perspective) I decided to wait our agreed time I had a bit of an anger tantrum and said I had enough - I wanted to start the ball rolling with IUI (will be 15mths TTC 25 months *not preventing* TTC in Sept) It is hard, but now I have the mindset that i will prepare my body between now and then. When Sept comes I'll be ready (but scared S**tless ) Knowing I have DP by myside makes me feel better. He talked me out of bringing our timeframe closer for the simple fact of what my body will endure. (I love him so very much)

Good Luck with the IVF Hope to see you post in the pregnancy announcements soon!
