My DH has started saying the words "yellow booties" when we :bd: - do you think this counts or do we need the real thing? :D
Hey fellow TTCers!!!! I am new to TTC after a pregnancy scare we have decided to try now!! I had been searching for hand knitted yellow booties everywhere since reading it on here and I managed to find some gorgeous ones on ebay for only $2.50 and $2.00 postage, so I bought 2 pairs! One pair I have hung up on bedroom wall, and the other pair I take with me and I am gonna put it in the bedroom when I go the Gold coast (My DP lives there :crying: ) so fingers crossed :crossfingers: for a :bfp: soon!!!!!!!! I have started tracking my charts and nya nya nya hopefully it will work! Look forward to having all of your support!!
I forgot to give the ebay ladies name hehehe... it is pestie69 ... I hope all of our yellow booties bring us luck! :bfp: by xmas for all of us!!

Hi Mikaela :hello: . Welcome to bellybelly. My friends Nan just knitted me some yellow booties this month so hopefully they will be a lucky charm for both of us. I have them on my bed side table. Lets hope your TTC journey is a short and sweet one.

I also got a pair of booties from that lady, she is wonderful as at the time didnt have them and specifically made them for me. I now have them under my pillow plus a pair a fellow BBer and friend made for me and gave belly rubs too as she is now pregnant.

I hope that I do not offend anyone by posting this here, but my sister has been TTC for about 2 years now. And I have been looking for a x-mas pressie for her, and on e-bay I come accross fetility necklace and a bracelet and I was wondering if anyone has tried these and did it work? Or has anyone heard of it working?
Do you think it would be a nice gift for x-mas, or would it seem too personal. I am unsure. I know I poersonally would have loved it, and I had alot of problems TTC my second. But everyone is different. Was wondering if anyone would be able to spare a few seconds for thier opinion. Would be realy helpful.

I would have loved it when I was ttc Gemma! I bought myself one(bracelet)off ebay and don't know if it worked but a couple of months later I was pregnant. My mum and dad also bought me a fertilty mask and we hung it above our bed.
Hi Anne. I have never used one myself either but I think that would be a beautiful gift to give to your sister. I have a little fertility angel which I have on my bed side table with my little pair of yellow botties and some other fertility things. It is like a little shrine lol.
Wow a fertility Mask, I havnt ever heard of those before. I think I will buy her one. Just cant decide weather to get a bracelet or a necklace :dunno: They are both so nice...

Owww I don't know. Both are nice. Depends what she wears more of. The fertility mask my mum and dad got from the sunshine coast somewhere.
Decided on the necklace, it's pretty funky, Might see if she can make me one thats not for fertility :) Or santa might not be allowd through the door this year Ha Ha...
A friend gave me a piece of polished rose quartz when I'd been TTC for a while - it's supposed to enhance fertility. I don't think it worked (or it took about a year to kick in ;) ), but I was touched by the gesture all the same.
It says the Rose Quartz is for restoring the balance to the emotions and hormones.:
The Moonstone was for the fertility. So maybe a moonstone might have worked better.
I e-mailed her and asked her, and she said it is a combination of all the stones that make it work. Sounds good to me :)
It sounds lovely Anne ... I found that it was good to have things to have hope in ... I still have my piece of rose quartz and I'll never throw it out because it is still special to me. A lovely BB member also knitted me a pair of yellow booties which I'll also treasure as well.

I think the yellow booties are an old wives tale ... you're supposed to keep them under your pillow for good TTC luck :)
I kept one under my pillow and DH had the other one in his wallet!

Yellow booties are also noted in feng shui for fertility also!!

My mum brought me a rose quartz and smokey quartz bracelet to help me. I will also purchase a moonstone to keep with me. I even rubbed the fertility statue in Ripleys Believe it or not on the Gold Coast. Will try anything...
Your sister will probably appreciate the gesture that you are trying to help her out. I know that I love the support that I get from my mum and sister.
A friend of mine bnrought me a maori carved thing on a necklace that was blessed with a fertility blessing by a maori elder. I wear it all the time! And my SIL gave me an angel whcih I carry most of the timed in my pocket. I'm very touched that they thoght of it. And yes it's very personal, but she's your sister! If you can't buy her something personal then who can?

I had already been wearing moonstone necklace and someone said the colour green means new life, So am trying anything! If someone said to fry eggs on your belly I probably would!!! lol
I have read a thread soemwhere that said that yellow booties are good feng shui to help conceive.
I bought some:redface: , now what do I do with them? The local op shop, which also has new craft things had some. I live in a small town so told a fib - buying them for a friend who is having a baby, starting to collect things now;)
I placed mine underneath my Fertility Angel (a rose quartz angel figure) next to me on my bedside table. We conceived that month!
Hello, the OP SHOP is the way to go! We got some perfect little blue booties and I placed them in a little heart shaped dish, with an egg shaped chunk of labradorite (ie blue moonstone) on top of them. Conceived two months later which is record time for us!

I did the same about 6 weeks ago... a yellow bootie inside DH's pillowcase and one inside mine. Keeping them present but not always in view i think was good to not think too much about it constantly. Once we get a BFP i'm planning to keep up the good karma by giving them to a TTC friend and hopefully it'll keep going .. we're hoping for a BFP this month!

I have a pair that were made by a very special BB friend for me. I put them under my pillow everynight. I have a moonstone in one and a rose quartz in the other. In the morning when I make the bed I put them on my bedside table. They remind me of the love and connectedness of us women in here, my beautiful family and the next little person (or persons!) that will be in our life... :hug:

I just bought mine, but they are handmade so obviously made with love :D . try a local craft shop or cwa store or opshop. Mine are new ones that they sell in the second hand store. They have lots of other gorgeous knitted things too. They had the most beautiful baby shawl, all hand knitted.
I put both booties in my pillow case, I might put one in my OH, if I can sneak it in. He laughed when I told him :doh:, but he didn't stop me. I wasn't at all surprised by his reaction, it is pretty much what I expected.

I carry a small rose quartz with me always and pick it up at least once a day and focus on being pregnant... also have a bigger one next to my bed.....
Any other suggestions??!!!

My sister-in-law was 5 months pregnant when she told me the old wives tale about the bootees, i thought it sounded crazy. Anyways she went shopping with me on my birthday and brought a pair of yellow bootees. She rubbed them on her belly and i put them underneath my pillow, (i thought why not, it might work). I asked people if they heard about this tale and many people said no, so i felt a little silly doing it, but i kept them there. Then 2 weeks later, my period was due but nothing, but i thought i'll wait those exact 5 days bcoz that was when i thought it really was due.
I seen my sister-in-law 3 days before the other due date and told her. She insisted on buying a pregnancy test and 2 weeks form the day she had the bootees, the test came up POSITIVE!!!!! i was so excited.
So ladies out there trying to have a baby, get a family member or a friend to buy you those bootees, rub them on their belly and put them straight under your pillow.
So Good Luck with it, i believe that it truly does work
