I had Implonon removed on 16 July and my doctor said that fertility comes back very quickly so to be very careful and gave me a script for the pill, which i filled.
The thing is we didn't BD for the whole week after getting IMP removed till the next sunday, and he didn't withdraw (which he normally does) and I was only on the sugar pills of pill, so I havent taken the pill now coz if i did get preg i didnt want to be on the pill.
I am now convinced I am pregnant; on about the 30 July I had a bloody dishcharge, have been an emotional wreck, cramps galore, sore boobies, tired. What do you girls think? and has anyone else come off Imp and got pregnant straight away??
I went to After hours GP last Thursday as Im extremely dizzy as well and they did a preg test which was BFN. My period if i was on pill would be due Monday, do you girls think i should test again before then???
I think most tests won't show the hcg (hormone released when pregnancy occurs) in your urine until at least the first day of your missing period. Some have found they've even had to wait until a few days after their period is due.
In saying that, it's hard not to test I know, but waiting will give you a more accurate result.
Sorry but i dont believe that fertility comes back quickly after having the implanon removed, at least not for everyone. I had mine removed on 20th June and i'm still waiting for AF to show up. I've done tests galore and they all say im not pregnant and i dont think i am even though i have had symptoms.
I would wait until you are due next and then test again and see. Goodluck!
Hi Amajay! I have had two implanons in the past, but wasnt trying to fall pregnant or anything when i had it out. However, i know of two people who fell preg the month after having it out. It just depends on the person i think. I also know of people who have fallen preg straight away after coming off the pill. I dont think this happens to every person though, lots of other factors and things involved. If your period doesnt show in the next couple days maybe do another HPT. Good luck, Mel
