Question Ovulate without getting your period?

    Hi

I stopped the pill almost 6 weeks ago and have not yet had my period (other than a withdrawal bleed a few days after stopping). I have heard it can take a while to get your period after stopping the pill but will I ovulate in the meantime? It is hard to tell when I am ovulating because I have no idea now where I am in my cycle anyway but would be nice to know if I at least have a chance!

I have been getting cramps, loss of appetite for a few weeks and feeling quite tired but have did a pregnancy test last week which was negative. It is all a little confusing!!

    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks

There is every possbility that you will ovulate. If you are not temping or watching your fertile signs then it is hard to know what your body is doing.

If you still don't get af(your period) in another week or so I would suggest seeing your doctor.

Hi I have recently been through the same thing. Stopped pill in June, 8 weeks later still no period. Then I got a very light period and ovulated 18 days later, then got AF 6 days after that...then ovulated 27 days after that, then AF 9 days later and now just finishing AF. So not much help for you I know but I got my AF before ovulating the first time around but you might ovulate first..hard to know. What has helped me is temping and checking CM. Its very frustrating though that first 8 weeks was tough. I did go to the GP at that time and ofcourse they told me to wait, relax, just have sex for fun! and it will happen..blah blah, anyway they took blood tests at that time which showed I hadnt ovulated yet. So maybe go to GP if it doesnt arrive soon.
