Ovulation Bleeding Good or Bad Thing??

Hi girls,
Just started on bellybelly and this is my first question. I wonder if anyone else has experienced mid cycle bleeding - "Ovulation Bleeding"? and if so do they know if it is a good or bad sign for fertility?
This has happened to me 3 times in the past 7 cycles on day 10 (24 day cycle) or 14 (27day cycle) days and is literally one spot. If i wasn't TTC i bet it would have gone undetected.
Anyway has anyone gone onto conceive following mid cycle spotting/ Ovulation bleeding?
Just also wondering what the window of opportunity for conceiving is once i see this ovulation bleeding - is it too late by then?
I have been checked by my Gyno so there is nothing else going on and he has told me it is Ov Bleeding and is OK but I would really like to hear from others out there.

I remember reading on the net that Ov bleeding is considered a "good" fertility sign!

I would imagine that it would be preferable to DTD before you see this bleeding, as it is best to have the sperm "sitting in wait" for the egg, so to speak... that said it takes the egg some number of hours to travel... to i would bd when you see it as well, just in case!

ov cycle is very common it can range from a spot to spotting lightly for a day or two it is taken as a good sign as you now know you have ov and were you are in your cycle and the window for opportunity is about 24 hours as the egg can live that long so if possible and you haven't bd the night before start bd as soon as you can. i haven't personally noticed ov bleeding around ov on my pregnancy's but i got it when i was younger but i remember seeing posts form other girls that have had it and were pregnant it happens so often and like you said it could be so easily missed that ild say lots of us get it. with out even knowing. good luck with the ttc and lots of baby dust to you

Hi there, I see something almost every cycle. Most of the time it is literally a spot in mc at most it is a few smudges if you know what i mean. according to my charts I usually O 1-2 days after the blood, most months, so I wouldn't count yourself as past Ovulation just yet. Perhaps the blood comes from the follicle getting close to popping the egg out and it may not only be indicative of the actual release, thats my theory anyway. Good luck!!!
