Mmmm, should be careful unless you're completely fine with a little surprise. Because yes, you generally ovulate first, then get AF.
I'm currently still BF my DS, but he had a temporary () strike a week or so ago... wondering it if might be enough (he stopped BF for a few days) to kick my cycle back into gear... just remind me... do/can I ovulate before my AF returns?
Like I know you O then normally two weeks later you get AF, then two weeks later, O, etc etc, but I haven't had AF yet since DS was born...
So do I need to be careful? Might I ovulate first, then AF??
Can't remember...

I was under the impression you could ovulate while BF even if you weren't getting periods.![]()
me too. I think if you dont want a little sneaky in there, take some extra precautions
But yes, going back to technical stuff. I would think you would need to ovulate first before getting a period. The whole process releases certain hormones in order to get the lining of the uterus nice and thick to support a pregnancy, then in which, it shed to give you a period. So hormone wise.. the egg came first. So to speak lol
I fell pg with ds before I got af back after dd and she was still feeding 2+ times a day. I felt ovulation though so ds was planned...but that means i haven't had af since march 08
Half your luck Arcadia!!!
Thanks ladies... Something's definitely going on... Maybe a little surprise will sneak in, we are ok with that...
Makes sense, egg first...
