    pls help...

    Hi everyone,
Has anyone ever had a faint positive POAS (2 days running) but a neg BT??? A friend of mine has this situation and it is really hard! I remember with DS I had a verrrry faint POAS and 2 days later BT was only 32 (anything over 25 is pregnant) so it was very early pick up. I am wondering if this could be a similar situation. Also, she is on day cycle day 43 and had some crampy stuff happening yesterday - but not like AF. No bleeding. Any help is really appreciated.

    Hi there
Yes i did have this myself just very recently. In fact, anything over 5 is considered pregnant... perhaps your friend could get a quantitative blood test done to see the exact numbers?
I had about 40 positive urine tests, one negative blood test. I kinda went overboard with the hpt's... but i couldn't get my head around it! My doc told me that my overactive thyroid voids the results of a blood test basically. But at 8 weeks started to bleed and miscarried.
I don't know if this is helpful to you, but I thought i'd share with you as it almost did my head in, so i know what your friend is experiencing.
Good luck, please let me know how it turns out for her.

Hey Ciara, she has done some more HPT and faintly pos again. Although one of them is actually very obviously pos. I think she'll get another BT tomorrow when clinic is open. It is looking promising at this stage.

    Hey!

I hope this is a good sign for her! Fingers crossed. Please urge her to see her doctor! get the bloods and a scan done as soon as they can. I think i drove myself crazy peeing on sticks LOL. they just all kept saying a faint positive grrr. But it was seeing the doc that set things straight.

If hers are starting to get a bit darker, then this sounds promising! Oh how exciting for her. I'll have my fingers crossed for a nice high hcg level on her test. Tell her to make sure it's a quantitative test so she gets the exact numbers.

    good luck hun!

    Hey ciara
I thought I should let you know it ended up being an early loss. HCG was quite low, so not the best outcome but there is always next time hey? Hope you are well
