POAS in the post-natal time

Hi all,

I wasn't sure where to put this thread, hopefully this is the right place. I've been having a few symptoms lately that have had me thinking 'hmmm', like sore nipples, nausea, oh there was more but I'm too sleep-deprived to remember Anyways I thought there would be no harm in POAS to set my mind at ease and what do you know, there was a faint-ish line there

Now the thing is, I have a 4 month old DD! Could it be that there is still HCG in my body from my last pregnancy? The line has faded heaps now and is now almost impossible to see (but it was definitely there! & it came up within the right timeframe, too. This was 2 hours ago), does that mean that the test is invalid?

I really appreciate any and all help!

Oh wow darling! No the HCG is all gone from your last pregnancy by now... So - you didn't use FMU and you got a positive... I would say it's a positive my love! I would get another brand. Test using FMU and then you will know. It's not at all unusual for a positve to fade a bit. If it came up within the stated time frame - it's a positive...

Just an add on - did you check the used by date on your test? Even so it's highly unusual to get a false positive though of course it can happen. Just unlikely...

Thank you Flowerchild! Eek I don't know what to think.... I think I will test again tomorrow morning before getting too far ahead of myself! Thanks for your response, I'll update tomorrow

Time for an update!

It was a definite negative this morning. I am a bit disappointed, but I was also a bit scared of potentially having 2 under 1 so I am in two minds!! The line on yesterday's test confuses me, it is in date still so perhaps it was just a dodgy test?! I think I will test again in a week with another brand to be sure, just in case
