    For most people two weeks after you stop bleeding would be too late (but depends on your cycle - it would work if you had a short bleed and a longer cycle). Your estimation is better but if you are actively TTC then regular DTD is the key - not just saving it all up for a couple of days there in the prime time.

    Remember that in optimum conditions the boys can survive for 5-7 days so you can have a lot of fun giving them a head start

    What Muppity said, except it's the girls that last longer

    The Shetteles method is Based on a 28 day cycle & ovulation on CD14;
    If you want to TTC pink you probably stop BDing on CD12.
    If you want to TTC blue BD on CD14 & CD15.
    The egg only lasts for 24 hours though - best used with OPK's too.

    If you don't care what sex (or you dont have a regular cycle) just BD every 48 hours the whole cycle!

    There are a few things you can do to gender sway if you're after one or the other. There is a chatter thread for it too

    Sorry - yes - I see how what I said could have been misinterpreted - when I say "the boys" I mean sperm in general (I really have to stop talking like DH!)

    Thanks for clearing that up CM

    It depends on how long your luteal phase is. Generally it's around 14 days, so 14 days before your af is due then you would ovulate. If you have really regular cycles then it's easy to work out. If you have a 28 day cycle then you would ovulate on day 14, so DTD on the couple of days before and the day of ovulation. For me, i have long irregular cycles. This past month i ovulated on day 26 and had a 11 day lp. If you want to pinpoint it then you can check your cm, temps and do an OPK. I don't bother with OPKs though because they can get expensive. I just temp and check my cm.
