    Progesterone cream

    Hi

Just wanted to know if anyone's had luck improving their fertility through progesterone cream? I've got really irregular periods and luteal phase is 6 days so I'm thinking I'm low in progesterone.

Does anyone know of a GP in Melbourne that will prescribe progesterone cream?

I used progesterone cream to help regulate my cycle and lengthen my luteal phase. I found that it only worked for me if I used it after ovulation and my lp went from 9 days till 13 days. It is hard to find a doctor who believes in using natural progesterone cream. I would hunt around and find a compounding chemist who makes the preparation. They will be able to tell you what doctor will prescribe it.

Failing that I have much more success after seeing a naturopath. She put me on a tailor made herbal supplement that worked on my cycle as a whole. It took 3 months for the herbs to take effect but I believe they worked better for me.

    I hope that helps.

I haven't used progesterone for ttc but use it to help with my cycles (ovarian cysts, nausea, vomitting PMS etc) Pm if you want the details, I get mine on line. I think it has 5mg progesterone which is one of the highest available over the counter but I'm not 100% sure.

For your LP try taking 100mg of B6 it help increase my lp from 9 days to a pos HPT.

    All the best

    Thanks ladies!

I've been taking 40g B6 so I might up it to 100g and see if that helps.

I've been seeing a n'path to try and regulate my cycles for 18 months and nothing has worked I've tried vitex (that stopped AF for 3 months!), various mixtures of yucky liquid herbs and now Tribulus, which has shortened my lengthy cycles to 35 days but gave me a LP of 8 days.

I rang some docs who prescribe progesterone cream but they charge between $185 - $250 for a consultation and there's a waiting list of at least 2 months!

I'm now at the stage where I'm ready to see a gyno and hopefully work some western and eastern medicine together.

SARAM - I haven't racked up enough posts yet to PM members - are you able to PM me with the site where you buy your prog cream, or can you post a link? Thanks!
