    Question - cervix position

    Hi all,

I have a question and was wondering if anyone knew the answer. I know I might be clutching at straws here cause I REALLY wanna know if I'm UTD, but I was wondering if anyone knew what your cervix should be like in early pregnancy?

    A quick run-down...
I am almost at the end of my TWW
I don't often check my cervix but I just decided to this evening and noticed it was very high (almost couldn't reach it) and it is soft. When I brought my finger out there was a small bit of thick white mucus on it.

Does this sound promising to anyone??? I know that testing is the only way to know for sure (and yes, I will test in a few days time) but I just wanted to pick your brains a bit first. From what I've read your cervix is supposed to become low and firm just before your period (although I guess it still have time to get that way!!)

Anyway, enough rambling from me, what do you think?

Normally before your period it's low and hard, while in early pregnancy it's usually high, soft and closed. Do you normally check your cervix? If so, you would know what it's normally like at this time of your cycle. If you don't, then you don't really know how it normally behaves, so it would be very difficult to tell. But it does sound promising

    Thanks for your response.

In answer to your question, I don't check it religiously or anything, just occasionally. However, I've never recorded what it is like at different times (yes, I'm regretting that now) so I'm not sure what my body would 'normally' do that this time in my cycle.

Argh! This whole TTW is driving me crazy! I can't believe I waited so long to test last cycle!

Hi Chody, long time no see I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! What DPO are you now?
I'm 18dpo, still no sign of AF either, extremely queasy, sore BB's, corpus luteum pains on my left side and cervix is high, soft and lots of creamy CM (TMI, but it's almost a watery consistancy there is so much of it! lol). Had a BFN yesterday morning with 2nd MU, but also had a super faint line that was almost invisible yesterday afternoon. I'll be testing again tomorrow morning, figured I'd better give the HCG an extra day to build up.

I'm so sorry about your angel in march too darl, I lost angel #6 in march at 4wk5d, it wasn't a good month for us was it?

Hope we both get our sticky BFP's very very soon and end up in the same Belly Buddies group!

    Hey Jenna,

It would be great to be in the same BB group! I'll keep my fingers crossed. I was actually reading in your other post about the corpus luteum pains and am wondering what that is what I had last month (sharp pains in my LHS) and I have felt the same things in that side on and off for the past week or so. I had tried to look them up on the internet but hadn't come across that term before. Hopefully that is what it is! (will do more research in a min). My cervix is still high and soft too with a watery, creamy CM (I keep feeling 'wet' like AF has come lol!). I had these same symptoms last month.

Here's to hoping we both get BFP's in the next few days (by the sounds of it you might already have one!)

I'm out BFN & big temp drop this morning. It's looking like I O'd late this month.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you Chody!

I've got a weird question for you all... finally got my head around the possibility that I probably O'd late this cycle instead of CD16 like normal, when I looked at my chart and realised something. My temp started going up on CD22-23, then had a small drop on CD24-25 (CD25 was when I had cramping pain for approx 15 mins in the evening 2 inches directly below my bellybutton, would have been 9dpo if I O'd on CD16) then temp went up again the next day and stayed up.

Also I'm still queasy, especially when I eat/drink certain things (coffee, ox-tail, sometimes chocolate, sometimes banana's etc).

Another thing, I had all the signs of O prior to CD17, evening wet CM, High Soft & Open cervix etc, and today and yesterday I've had wet, creamy CM again and my cervix has been High, Soft and Open again... but then it was like that last cycle too and I got a BFP then, even though it ended in a mc...
Anyone have any idea what's going on with me?
