Geeze I am full of questions...but who better to ask than you guys!
I have been on the pill for ages and I am not really sure about my cycle lengths??
I was looking at my Calendar and because I Ovulated on CD17 instead of 14 do you think that I will have a longer cycle or does this still fit within the timeframe of a normal 28 day cycle?
When I was a lot younger before I was on the Pill my cycles were very regular?
If you ovulated on CD17, then you will probably have a 31-32 day cycle because your leutal phase is still usually always 2 wks long (the time from ovulation to the day you get your AF) but some women do have shorter or longer leutal phases too. A shorter LP isn't ideal as the egg doesn't have enough time to implant properly is my understanding of it. It coul take a little while for you to get back to a cycle that is regular for you kwim? If you aren't successful this month, track your cycle a bit more closely and see if you can pick up any regularity to things that happen over the month. You could try using Fertilty friend and see if it helps. Good luck
Of course! I keep forgetting that the Leutal Phase is 2 weeks! Therefore I am due to get AF not tomorrow but Tuesday. But I guess I will just see when and if she comes.
So, it is entirely possible then that I am testing for pregnancy way too early (did a HPT test this AM)
I guess its a little tricky sometimes to calculate dates. The only reason why I knew I ovulated was because I had an US of my Ovaries and could see the egg ready to pop out.
OPK's didn't seem to work well for me.
Well if I had a normal 28 day cycle AF would have been here today and there is no sign of her yet... but because I o'd late I changed my ticker to 31 days.
I guess for the first few months its guess work but it always helps when there are others that can share their experience with you
