Red bleeding (but not to AF levels) at ovulation?

    Slightly TMI

Yesterday I had a massive patch of definite ferning on my saliva test, so I'm assuming I'm on about 1DPO - or, I'm hoping against hope I am. I've only been using it a couple of weeks but I've learnt pretty quickly what to look for My temps are all over the place so I'm not relying on them right now.

However, I was spotting a little as well - mostly a bit of pink on the toilet paper, but when I checked my CM and cervical position it was red-streaked. About ten minutes ago I wiped and more of the red-streaked EWCM was there. I had the tiniest boy of cramping a few hours before I noticed the first signs of spotting, but nothing since then.

I guess I'm just looking for reassurance that it's still possible I've ovulated (or still waiting for O), and not just starting AF. Usually if I spot before AF it's for a couple of hours before the heavy flow begins. This has kind of thrown me.

I'm a little fuzzy on the details but I do remember bleeding a little around ovulation when we conceived Buster. It had never happened to me before! I was using OPK sticks at the time so it was definitely ovulation related, remember having a bit of cramping beforehand too.

    Good luck!

It's settled to brown now, so I'm taking that as a good sign

Way to make me feel old there I don't creak, I slide gracefully from one action to the next... Then trip over my own feet because I'm not graceful at all

If you have an anovulatory cycle you can get light breakthrough bleeding as your progesterone levels drop.

No idea about the saliva test though sorry...

I think the act you ad EWCM means ovulation time, so hat's a good sign. Could you have scratched something inside when you were checking CM? That may explain the bleeding as well.
Fingers crossed for you! You should hit your hubby up for some when he gets home just in case!

Sorry Teni - creaking only thing that popped into my head, major sleep deprivation coupled with uni assignments is not a good combo!
