2 days ago I found out I was pregnant - woohoo! However now I am filled with this sense of great fear. I have been experiencing period pains for at least 7 days. They are increasing a little. There has been no bleeding or any other issues. This fear is compounded with the fact that my husband is so scared we will miscarry that he is trying not to be happy or excited about it until after the 3 months.
Am I worrying too much about the (period pain like) cramping I am experiencing? What should I do about it? have you also experienced this and did it lead to miscarriage? or a normal pregnancy?
Its very common to get AF cramps around the time your AF would have been due and all through the first trimester...it means your uterus is stretching and getting ready for bubs.....some people even get spotting which is why some people dont know they are pregnant for ages - they mistake AF for spotting
Basically, no AF is all good. Go to yr Dr and get a b/t and see if they will do another two/three days later. If your pregnancy hormone hcg is rising (roughly should doubt in that time) then that's also all good
Hun - in the beginning of pregnancy, the uterus is beginning to grow to make room for your baby - when the uterus grows you get crampy "growing pains". Don't stress!
Unless it's heavy cramping accompanied by bleeding I wouldn't worry too much, all is completely normal. I would never have suspected I was pregnant until I realised I thought AF was coming for at least ten days due to cramps.
Changes with everyone. Some people may not get them at all; I got them really bad at 28 weeks - which is when i finally ballooned and started showing! I think the first lot only lasted until 7 weeks at the latest.
i think i got mine on and off during first trimester and then third trimester. during the early stages i used to go to the bathroom expecting there to be blood cause it felt wet as well as the cramps (cause of all that preg CM) but it was all good.
if you get pain accompanied by bleeding then i would go see the gp though.
I had the period type pains all through my pregnancy.
I wouldnt worry too much about it, like a PP has stated, its just the uterus contracting up to accomodate the growing bub.
Congratulations
