Small amount of blood in CM - CD17

    Hi,

Has anyone had bleeding during or just after ovulation? I am CD 17 today and I had blood-tinged CM earlier today. I think I ovulated on Thursday or Friday so too early for implantation (lol...I wish!)

    Thanks!!

ETA: it was red, not brown blood (sorry for the TMI!)

Just wondering if anyone else had any thoughts.

I am even more confused than ever... Today is cd42 (or 43!! Can't remember!) No AF yet.

I had no more spotting after what I described in my op. Except on about cd34 I had one single fleck of blood.

I did HPTs on cd 24, 28 and 37. All negative. So the bleeding couldn't have been ovulation (because AF would be here by now) and not implantation (because I would have had a positive HPT).

    So to sum it up

    Time for some blood tests?

Have you had any recent signs of ovulation? It may be delayed or you're having a long, annovulatory cycle. Or you are pregnant but HPTs are working for you, which happens for some women.

I have a friend who has done IVf a few times. Her hormones are all over the place and her cycle can be over 80 days. She recently found out she had abnormally high prolactin levels. I'm not saying that's what you have, I have no idea. Just saying, maybe get some tests.

    Thanks guys

Tashy - it's definitely not prolactin. I got tested for that at the beginning of this cycle and it was normal.

MadB - i suspect you're right. I can't explain it any other way.

I keep thinking my period is coming. I have had mild cramps and lower backache on and off for a couple of weeks. My nipples are sore when I push on them but my boobs aren't aching. I am retaining fluid in my legs. CD 43 today...I just want my period to start so I begin another IVF cycle!!!!!!

Its so frustrating hey. I just wish there was an easy way to know what was going on.

Have you done any more HPTs?

Not sure whether to test again. CD44 and no AF.

Been cramping on and off for just under a week. I have lower back pain on and off. Today I have wee-d about 20 times (but it feels like the start of a uti ) Inside my boobs (under where my nipples are, but not my actual nipples) is sore but they are not aching. I have no nausea or tiredness. I am cranky (as usual!)

I want to test but not if I get a BFN - which I almost 100% definitely will

no advice, sorry. Have you ever had a cycle like this before? It sounds like your hormones are all over the place.
Waiting a bit longer to test wont hurt. Maybe call a doctor on Monday.

Thanks everyone. Still nothing, although I am pretty crampy today and my boobs are sore so maybe the end is in sight I am retaining so much fluid, my legs are aching
I have a scan booked with my FS for Friday if nothing shows.

Thanks for your support and advice x

N2l - have you ever temped in a cycle? Do you know what your BBT is like before and after ovulation? Sometimes I dont temp during a cycle because it's a PITA but I know my pre and post ovulation BBT 'range'. So occassionally I might take a temp to just check where I'm at. I've done this after mc/birth when things get delayed. I wont temp every day but if I'm wondering what's going on I temp for a couple of days.

Obviously that wont work on an annovulatory cycle but then temps are usually so up and down on them which can tell you something in itself.

I hope you get some answers Friday or AF arrives.

I can recommend a fertility acupuncturist if you're interested.
