    So nervous ... starting Clomid

    Hi Ladies,

I finally got the long awaited call that i am safe to start clomid today. Now im getting a whole heap of emotions just rushing and I dont know why.

Im scared - side effects of clomid, what if i have twins, what if clomid causes a M/C
Im excited - I have a high chance of getting pregnant now, which ive wanted for so long!
Im regretful - what if i could have gotten pregnant naturally without clomid.

I am not sure why i feel so much when i havent even started!!!!

    Nervous/scared/excited.

Thanks ladies so much for your support.

I hope that your journey on clomid I short and sweet and that you soon see those 2 precious lines that mean your second child is on its way

Wishing you the best of luck. As someone else said, just focus on it as being a positive and proactive step in your journey and will hopefully help you reach your goal sooner rather than later. I felt the same way - nervous, excited and scared each time I took a different step in my journey. Also, remember that not everyone gets all the side effects so just take it as it comes. The only symptom I had was feeling some pressure, a bit like marbles in my ovary area...but I saw this as a positive sign that things were on track.

You will usually O 5-9 days after you take your last tablet. I think i O'd 10-11 days after my last tab and that cycle was 35 days. I think your cycles start to regulate once to commence clomid, but that doesn't mean they will be 28 days. One lady i remember talking to said her cycles went from 45 days, 39days, 35days, 40days......and so on. So you never really know. But hey, it's better than 100+ days!

I think i am the same as you this cycle, took my last tablet last night CD7, FX for us!

oh yeh definitely FX for all of us ttc'ers !!! I have a blood test on the 11th Dec for the 23rd (had to do it early due to it being a sunday) day O test and seeing my FS on the 15th Nov, all to fit around her holidays!

    When are you appointments?

My blood test is to be done on the 11th Dec, it's a saturday morning, it's easier for me on a sat anyway. And my FS appointment is on the 13th Dec. Even if you haven't ovulated by the time you have your BT, if O is about to happen your results will still be high. Last cycle i had my BT on day 21, but i didn't ovulate until 22-23. My progesterone levels were at 13 (they have to be 20+ to show u have ovulated) but he said that if i wasn't ovulating it would have been very low like 2 or 3. Does that make sense?
Oh gosh, i didn't even think about FS holidays, i better check with him and see how long he will be closed!
