So 5 or so years ago I used this forum lots and it was fantastic with all the support when we were ttc #1 (she'll be 4 early next year). And now I'm back and not even ttc......I just have a question!
I recently stopped taking my pill to see if my skin cleared up (been having probs with spots). All last week I had ovulation pains and then the egg white mucus at the weekend. We dtd twice and took no extra precautions (drunken night out, thoughts of contraception went out the window!)
What's are the chances of getting pregnant after just coming off the pill?? I know it's possible but just not sure sure how high the chances are!
I'm not sure what the stats are but I cam off the pill and got pregnant right away. I never even had a normal period.
My GP said it would most likely take a few months but it wasn't the case for me!
Thanks - I've had mild AF type cramps in the last couple of hours so I'm thinking I'm not pregnant although I shouldn't be due for another week or so....the joys of stopping the pill, you just never know when it will appear!
Ok so the mild cramps are still there but no AF.....I usually get cramps and within about 2 hours AF has arrived. I remember having cramps last time and thinking I was getting AF but I was actually UTD. Hmmm, not sure how I would break it to DH if I am pregnant .
He's quite against another whereas if it happened it wouldn't worry me too much apart from timing. I only came off the pill as an experiment for my skin....arghhhh!
Maybe its just my body adjusting to being off BCP and it's just taking a bit longer for AF to arrive??
DD was a first month off the pill conception. It's possible and varies from person to person. I've heard of people being prescibed the pill to even out cycles and increase chances of TTC after stopping it. Hoping it works out well either way hun!
So we're not actually ttc.....
