    Specialist appointment

    Hi everyone,

My DH and I have had two miscarriages both at 5 1/2 weeks. I have been to the specialist and was diagnosed with a sub septate uterus. I had laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to remove the septum. Today hubby and I went back to the specialist to get the results. The doc said the septum was removed and my uterus, eggs and tubes were normal. My blood tests come back all normal including the chromosome test. Well we thought that was it we could start ttc again. Well we weren't so lucky my DH sperm test come back and wasn't so good. 30% of his sperm dont carry the information required to complete a successful pregnancy. So we have been sent away once again for a month whilst my DH takes vitamin C, E and folic acid. After a month they test his sperm again and if the results are no better then we have to consider IVF. The process is so long and feels so out of reach.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

    Hi Tamara,

I know what you mean, the waiting is so hard and it just feels like there are so many hurdles.

But the great thing is that you are all clear now, so you're starting from a much better place in TTC now than you were at before, even if you do have to go down the IVF path?

    Hi Tamara

It's so tough being patient, and so much of this process seems to require patience!

I hope the month of vitamin taking is a successful one & you get some good news in a month

    Hi Tamara,

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you're having. This road is just so hard and the constant waiting makes it even worse.

I really hope your DH's sperm comes back better next time and that you don't need IVF.

I am not a sperm expert. But my hubby's sperm test was much better second time around, he took menevit for six weeks (special vitamins for mens fertility) and all of his results (except for rapid motility) increased dramatically. I really hope you dont need IVF, but if you do, you will find a lot of support from the ladies in the LTTTC / AC threads. They are wonderful.

Best of luck for the repeat test
