spotting 10 days before cycle. advice please

Hi
The last 4 cycles I have had spotting before AF.
for 1 of those cycles I spotted for 3 days before AF, 2 of the cycles 5 days before af and I started spotting yesterday (6dpo) which is 10 days before AF is due!!

anyone know what the cause could be? do you think I need to go to the doctor?

I came off the pill early october so nearly 8 months ago. I didn't have spotting for the first 3/4 cycles

below is a list of the last 5 cycle lengths (though I hve been off the pill longer, I hadn't recorded cycles before then)

Is the spotting brown or red blood?

I always had brown spotting before AF, the month I got my BFP I had brown spotting for 10 days before! I had asked the doctor about it and she said it was normal, just old blood leaving the body before my period arrived....

If you're concerned I'd mention it to your doctor, but I personally wouldn't worry too much.... Hope this helps.

Its brown blood.

Just an update. I have been to the doctors, who asked me to get a bloodtest to get my hormones etc and also an ultrasound.

Great, did your doc say anything about your chances of being pg this cycle? I guess it's too early to do a test, ahh what a frustrating waiting period!! Let us know how you go....
