    Yet Another Bloody Question

    Literally bloody question.
Hope someone can share some experience or shed some light in this dark tunnel.

Ok so last cycle I O'd on 14 day and AF appeared on day 28. normal.

This cycle I am currently on CD 18 and yesterday I noticed some red (period like blood) but very little and only appeared with one wipe and then gone! Then today I noticed a tinge of pinkish (blood mixed with white stretchy mucus) which stopped then returned heavier but not heavy enough to confirm its a period. Ok so either my period is coming very early (CD 18) or I am experiencing implantation bleeding that seems to be red in colour but not very heavy (but not a tiny amount either). I have no cramping which I usually get when period comes.

I know I should just wait till CD 28 to see if AF comes but this midcycle bleeding is killing me.

    somebody? ANYBODDYYY??

    TIA

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply, I just went to the bathroom, with a wipe I noticed the blood was darker and bright red, does look very much like period blood but I can't wait until tommorow to see if it gets heavier then it already is, I want to know if this could still be implantation bleeding? Or is it quite normal and possible to be getting my period 10 days early?

I'm gonna go with Miss.B on this one and will have everything crossed! My implantation bleed lasted a day or 2 and was heavier than a period.

So implantation bleeding can be eavier than a period? I had implantation bleeding for my last pregnancy but it was only very light and pinkish as most people describe it to be. I guess thats why Im finding it so hard to believe that it might be IB now. But the thing is I dont feel any cramping but I do have some pimples which I do always get when my period arrives, except this time the pimples came early, about cycle day 15, 2 days before I first noticed blood. So thats why im thinking it could be an early period. Anybody's insight and experiences are more then welcome.

Just an update. The blood doesnt seem to be getting heavier so far, but everytime I wipe there is a streak of blood, so it hasnt been going and coming like it originally did yesterday, it seems to be continous and red. Also I forgot to add that I was on Valtrex for shingles that I had just before I ovulated, could that have affected my cycle and bring my period earlier?

Not sure hun, I wasn't even aware that implantation bleeding can be quite heavy! I've never had implantation bleeding, but a couple of my GF had, and they both said the bleeding occured somewhere around mid cycle for them both and the bleeding was light and lots of stringy bits (sorry TMI!). Nor sure about the meds for shingles.....hope someone can help you

was your IB easily mistaken for a period?

Was this question for me? If so.....I was into my 5th year of TTC and never missed a 28 day cycle so I didnt think it was period but had no idea what the heck it was! Had I had irregular periods than yes, I would have thought it the start of a cycle. Have you tested again or does it seem to be the start of AF?
