To test or not to test??

Ok. So I planned to not get caught up in the TWW, just to continue with life as normal. Well, im now 7 DPO and have hit the wall. The urge to run down to the chemist and buy a HPT is difficult to resist. I have a headache, slightly sore bbs to touch, tummy cramps, slight nausea and wondering if i these are super early symptoms of PG knowing full well I am probably way to early to notice anything and its all in my head! Plus its my first month of proper ovulation after the pill so I dont want to think I am PG in case I jinx myself. My question is what is the earliest anyone has tested and got a BFP? And to those who tested early and got a BFN in hindsight would you wait till AF is due and avoid the heartache?

I would definately wait until AF is due. If you test and get a bfn it just makes you sad even if you know it's too early
It's too early to test at 7dpo, the embryo wouldn't have or maybe only just implanted so there will be either none or not enough hcg to get a positive anyway if you are pregnant.

The home pregnancy test say you can test from 7 to 10 days. I would wait until at least the 10 day mark.

I got a + HPT when I was pregnant with Brock at 12DPO - a nice strong one.
I got a + HPT with the previous short lived pregnancy at 13DPO - a very faint one.

Try to leave it til you are overdue for AF though. I only tested so early as I was pretty sure I was pregnant as I was temping and had implantation dips. I felt exactly like I was going to get AF. I had no traditional early pregnancy signs apart from tiredness as it was too early for them to have set in. I always found the months that I "felt pregnant" I never was.

One way of avoiding testing now would be to purchase HPT's over the internet. They will take a few days to get to you and that would stop you testing (if you can keep out of that particular aisle in the shops). Lullaby conception tests are cheap and very accurate. Trust me, testing early can end up working out to be a very expensive hobby.
