    TTC-2

    Hi

Just wondering if anyone can help me out..

I have a little boy who is 8mnths old, but we have started TTC for number 2.

Over 7 yrs of TTC we did 8 stim cycles, and then lucky whilst we were having a break, we conceived naturally. and had DS.

We have 1 embie on ice, and not sure if we should get it transferred, as we have never had luck with IVF and the costs, like $900 for 1 emby to be transferred, so much money., but then going on past IVF history i woudl be surprised if it even thawed..

I have an appt with my FS nxt mnth to discuss a few things, it has been almost 2 yrs since we have done any fertility treatment, he would not even know that we had a baby in this time

Anyhow, i am thinking would it be worthwhile to ask for some clomid.. i know that i do ovulate, so dont know if this would help TTC (2)

I am almost 38, so we are TTC now, i know DS isnt that old, but if we are luckky enough to have another baby, would like it sooner then later

Not sure if this is the right place to post, and so sorry if it isnt.. wasnt sure where to!!!

We wont go down the IVF road again, due to costs and also as we ended up having DS naturally, but wondering what else other then going on clomid would help to fall preg.

    thanks

    HI maggie,
I have also heard that women can be super fertile after giving birth....so maybe that might be enough....has your AF returned? are you still breastfeeding?
WOmen who do ovulate take Clomid too...it helps by giving a hormone boost and also with luteal phase defects.

Maggie I know of a few people who ttc for years before being successful, who then went on to have more children naturally. Sometimes it almost seems as though once the body has done it once, it can easily do it again and again. Of course, this is not always the case.

Have you been charting etc recently? I don't know of the background of your previous IVF experience, but maybe you dont' need clomid. Also, are you bfeeding? because that can affect your fertility

HI, IVF was not successful for us, as i think that my eggs were never that great . we never did have great quality embies to tranfer, and my IVF Re had mentioned to go down the donor path. whilst on a break from IVF we saw a naturopath in melb and started on herbs, getting preg immed, i have only just got back AF, after Stopping BF and putting DS on bottle. my last 2 AFS have been exac;tly 30days apart, so roughly know fertile time.. thinking of going abck on herbs if not preg within appr 3mnths.. and will speak to RE, regarding one remining emby on ice. thanks guys
