Exclamation TTC - after breastfeeding for 14mths

    Hello, I am new here...

A short history just to get you up to speed... I have lost a little boy at 22wks due to my cervix opening etc. Lost twins and then two single pregnancies all before 12 weeks. Then found I had a blood clotting disorder (which is controlled by aspirin and fragmin when pregnant) and also found out I had a wall in my uterus which has now been removed. Oh, and just to add to that, I have Endometriosis definitely, and a suspected case of PCOS

Anyhow, after all of the above, and TTC for 6 mths, I tried CLOMID and fell first go round. I am now mum to a beautiful 2yr old Princess whom I cherish every day...

This brings me to now... I am TTC and have had no luck for 4 mths - not long I know - but given my history of things NEVER BEING EASY!!!! I am starting to have a mini panic attack and am questioning everything...???!?!!

I am wondering if anyone has ever experienced troubles with falling pregnant after breastfeeding for a long time?

I fed my daughter for 14mths and my period was well and truly back and booming around 8mths after giving birth. BUT - my problem is that because I had such a great supply of milk, I am STILL getting milk if I squeeze and still get all the usual itchy 'let down' kinda feelings etc, but no leaking etc.. I am getting all this still and I stopped B/feeding November 2009!!!

Can someone PLEASSSSSSSSSSE tell me if this is all normal, and any hints they have to help?? It's driving me crazy!

    Thanks!!
    Pru

    Congratulations on your little girl
If your cycles had returned, then breastfeeding was not affecting your fertility then. Still having milk months (even years) later is quite possible, although you do seem to be doing very well in that regard

Have you started on clomid again? It took you 6 months last time, so perhaps your next pregnancy is just around the corner Good luck!
