I noticed you also posted about smoking too in another thread.
Vitamins will only work if you have a diet to compliment them.
If you are TTC it would be best to try and give up smoking before you TTC and concieve, and have 3 nutritious meals a day and drink water. Lots of fruit and vegetables.
The other thing is to take a pre natal supplement like elevit or a blackmores equivalent that will have folate in it. Have you spoken to a GP about diet and trying to give up smoking? As your body will work best when it's at it's healthiest.
My sister was and is a heavy smoker. She conceived and smoked through all pregnancy's. Her babies were always small and they all suffer some sort of asthma and other health issues as a result.
Good luck babyskye, keep asking away.
If you are TTC, I highly recommend you check out the book - The Natural Way to Better Babies: Preconceptual Care for Prospective Parents , by Francesca Naish.
It is loaded with informative advice (most of which you will not get from a regular doctor) for both parents on the journey in trying to conceive a healthy baby.
babyskye I neglected to welcome you to BB I didn't look how many posts you had. So welcome If you are strugling to eat 3 meals a day maybe try eating 5 samller meals a day and adding the vegies to dishes like stirfrys or pastas, and adding the fruits to smoothies and having fresh juices? Goodluck TTC
