Help am I ovulating?

I know this is probably a really odd question but if you have old brown blood when you have your period is this a sign that you don't ovulate or ovulate properly? AF arrived yesterday and my first day was heavy with brown and red blood and pain, but today which is day two, there isn't red blood, apart from when I woke up, and it's not as heavy. I'm scared that I'm not ovulating and we are trying to conceive. Anyone help me?

Hi Kim, my AF is always 4 days with day 2 being the heaviest bleeding then 2 days of brown discharge. I have started using OPK's and I am ovulating. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I only came off the pill in October and I'm going to do OPKs this month so will see what happens.

Completely normal Kim. Mine starts dark then goes bright red then dark at the tail end again. It's because for a month you've had the lining building up.
