    Two Month Wait

I was talking to my mother over the weekend and she said when she was busy having babies they would wait two missed periods before they went and saw a Doctor to confirm if they were pregnant or not. So for TWO WHOLE MONTHS, she would just wait until she missed the second period and then she thought, ok i might be pregnant!!!
I can't believe it, how could they not go insane! The two week wait is more then enough!

And here we are today, looking at every possible sign, reading every possible website and POAS days before our period is due. Man, to have a little of that patience right now!

That's exactly the point. I wonder if they were more relaxed about it. I went to buy a test today, and thought, nup relax if you are you are and you will find out when AF doesn't show, instantly the anxious feeling moved on

And that's why I think that miscarriages probably were almost as common then, but they just didn't know they were pregnant to begin with.

I too am a believer of this. We can POAS like 9 DPO (after using an OPK to confirm O!) and get a + result. I know there was no way my mum could have done that when she was pg with us. I'm going to ask her....

I was thinking about this last night. they wouldnt have been able to go to the supermarket and by a test of the shelf and just wee on it. the only way to do it would have been to have a blood test. so wasnt as easy to test.

My nan was the same. It used to bowl her over when I would talk to her about where I was up to in my cycle (we were very close lol) and she told me that she only went to the doc when she was two or three months late, she found out with my mum almost half way through! Here I am stressing about each and every symptom
