TWW & exercise (high temps with exercise)......

This is a little because I feel like it's a silly question..........anyway, I'm on my 8th cycle of TTC and have just O'd...bedded ourselves silly and have my fingers crossed for this cycle (am 1DPO).........question is, I exercise at a pretty high intensity 6 days a week (running, boxing etc) and have started to think perhaps I should not be exercising whilst I wait to see if I get pregnant in case my high temps whilst exercising are causing me not to get pregnant?? Because don't they say you need to be careful with exercise once you know your pregnant? i.e. heart rate not over 135b per minute because you get hotter and effectively become an oven inside?

Should I not worry and just keep up with the exercise.....I really love the exercise and it would drive me batty to have to stop my exercise routine every cycle for 2 weeks.

    Thanks for reading.

Hi ZigZag, I can't really be much help in terms of an answer, but I can tell you what I have been told... my personal trainer has said that I am fine to really slog it out at the gym (have PCOS and trying to lose weight to assist PCOS and subsequently the TTC) but that once I know I am pg we will scale it back... I have often wondered what would happen if I didn't know I was pg or if the high intensity was deterimental to TTC. I work out 3-4 times a week and really get the heart rate up during the workout.

I might check this again with my personal trainer but I am sure one of the other lovely BB posters will know a bit more on this topic

I really don't have an answer for you, but I have never heard of high intensity exercise interfering with a normal pregnancy.

Ask your doctor. Personally I wouldn't change much. Little babies are fairly tough. Just think of all those woman out there who smoke and drink and don't know they are pregnant, their bodies are filled with toxins that are not good for a growing baby, yet many survive.
