I just ducked out and while in the car I heard an advertisment for 'SperMax'... promises to increase males sperm count and is available from Health Food Shops.
I Googled it and came up with very little information...
Does anyone know anything about this product? Does anyone have their DH / DF / DP using it?
I did a bit of a google & came up with very little as well, so I figured I'd just have a look at the ingredients & go from there. I would guess it's some sort of multivitamin with zinc etc. that usually helps with these things.
Actually I might give our IVF clinic a ring to see if they know anything about it.
LOL, I heard this on the radio yesterday! The ad said its available at all pharmacies and leading health stores, so it'd probably be easier to ask your chemist about it. It sounds like the same thing as Menevit...
I have been to 2 chemists and 1 health food store and they all look at me and my partner like we are weird or desperate. lol. No one has any idea about what were are talking about. We are very interested in this product as we are trying to have a baby. If anyone can find it in Sydney please let me know.
our local health food shop has one side of the window plastered in posters and stuff! I think it is like menevit, just with more of the essential ingredients.
DP wants to go and get some but he's on other vit's at the moment. but in about 2 weeks we'll be starting them
Ok well I finally got to the chemist & spoke with them about it. Apparently it's not widely available as yet, which is ridiculous that they are advertising it everywhere, but it should be around early to mid June.
The pharmacist said that it is essentially the same as Menevit from what she has been told. She couldn't say for sure because she hasn't physically seen it, but she believed that it would be like Elevit vs Blackmore Pregnancy vs Cenovis Pregnancy etc etc. They're virtually all the same with minor differences.
I also asked what would be the difference in getting a multivitamin + zinc + folate for DH. Essentially there's not a lot of difference except that Menevit has had clinical trials to get the quantities right & it's one capsule over three.
I saw Spermax on the shelf at Chemist Warehouse in Ringwood Vic. Today while I was waiting for a prescription to be filled. There are two sizes available. One was about $26 and the other about $55, sorry I can't tell you the quantity etc. Maybe give your local store a call & see if they have it. It's not on their website as yet.

I have found Sperm Max on eBay, but from reading the last forum. i'm not wondering whether this is the right way to go or continue on Menavit.
Anyway, they are available for $36.95 + $4.95 postage for 30 tablets and they are also available in 60 tablets pack.
I was browsing around Chemist Warehouse the other day & saw SpermMAX 30 Tablets for $29.99
It's also on their website. Do a search (they are spelling it "spermmax") to see the special.
