very confused, please help!

Hi ladies,
Im new here and I really need some advice.

I ovulated on the 7th/8th of Jan, had unprotected sex on the night of the 7th (technically the 8th) at 11DPO I started spotting dark brown discharge (unusual for me) this was the morning of the 18th. Then I had nothing all day. On the 19th, it was inbetween brown and dark red but it was most definitely not a normal "flow" by the 20th, nothing. and now again this morning some more spotting again. AF not due til 23rd so Im really confused.

I read a thread earlier in regards to implantation where a lady experienced a similar thing,
Im just basically wondering if you can share you implantation experiences with me? I am TTC- but I dont know if what Im suffering is breakthrough bleeding or a really early AF.
Very confused.

Hiya,

I think I might be the lady who wrote the other post that you were reading. It really does your head in doesn't it? You never really think about your cycle until you are trying to get PG or think you might be PG and then you realise how much every cycle can be different from the one before it.

Here's what I have learnt: It could be implantation bleeding. It might not be implantation bleeding. It could be something completely different. Every woman is different. There are only really two things that you can do.

1. Wait until your period is due and take a HPT or
2. Go and have a blood test which can give you a positive much earlier than a HPT


I know - I'm not any help at all. I'm sorry because I know how much it can do your head in when you are waiting for answers.

If you are due for AF tomorrow, I think it would be a pretty reliable time to do a hpt if you wanted to?
The bleeding you've experienced could well be implantation bleeding, but like aussie girl said it may not be either!
