Newbie here (so please excuse ignorance to some of the abbrev's still learning)
Just really needing to talk to feel "normal".
I have been off the pill since Aug 08 (due to an operation), hubby and I decided to TTC our #1 soon after (as the op was a hurdle we wanted to be past before TTC). We have been kinda trying since Dec08. And so far nothing. (i dont like the word trying as each month AF appears it feels like a real let down)
I dont do all the fancy stuff like basal temps n all. I keep an eye on the mucus deal, but i dont notice much difference at times. Im roughly a 28-30 day cycle. Have done OPK's a few months ago and looks like i Ov about the 14th day each month. I get the slight cramp in the side about that time as well and then after that i have the typical sore BB's, bloated feeling, frequent Peeing and overall yukky feeling right up to AF.
Im normally light on the AF's two to three days max. But the one just past started on the 17th May Cramps every day for three days very heavy flow (bit freaky) and finally finished on the 21st May. Im kind of hoping this month is our time and that the ole body was doing a spring clean out.
Im starting to feel down about it all as my brother and Sis in law have a 18mo and a 8week old (both unplanned and my Bro n Sis in law have a 10mo.
Im 29 and hubby n i are really hoping we will at least be knocked up by the time we are 30. Which is Jan for me and Feb for him. So plenty of time... but im sure you all know how it feels.

We have been TTC since Oct 2007 but started temping etc towards the end of last year and within a couple of months we got pg however we lost that one and we're trying again.
If you dont want to do any charting etc, maybe just count from the day your period starts and start at day 10 every second day..so CD 1O, 12, then if you know you're ovulating on day 14 every time, then go cd 13,14,15 until your CM dries up...
I really would suggest using the OPK's if you want a faster result though...and dont bd every day, it doesnt help.

I'd definitely recommend joining one of the ttc buddies threads. The ladies in them are very supportive and understand what you're going through. And we all get what it feels like when things don't happen!
