Period or Loss..am I ovulating? What happened to you?
Our beautiful DS is 9 weeks old and I he was born after a beautiful 7 hour Natural Labour. I had a pretty big PPH after I had him (1.2litres), but managed to escape a blood transfusion (although I wish I had had one now ) Am off to my Dr's to discuss how lethargic I am etc even though I am taking double iron. My head is soo foggy it is not funny !!).
Anyways, my loss lasted for about 4.5 weeks and then stopped all together. Then at about 7 weeks I felt like my period was coming, and low and behold I had some very, very, very light bleeding and cramps that lasted about 2 days. I am more of the opinion that it was actually my period due to the fact the it actually felt like it was coming and also the cramps, but could it just be more loss??
I then started getting ewcm in the last few days as well.
We are planning on ttc number 3 at Christmas, but could I be ovulating so early?? My period didn't return for 18 months with DD. I also wondered if the PPH may cause menstruation to start earlier???
I am breastfeeding my little man, but he sleeps right through from about 7pm until at least 5am every night, and I am wondering if this effects my ovulation?? But then I also express quite a few time during the week, as he goes to cc for one day a week while I work......but then I guess I don't really feed as often on that day either?
Has anyone else been caught this early? We really don't mind if we concieve earlier really......

I think it is more likely to be more of your lochia - I had it for more than 6 weeks with my 2nd child - considering your history of breastfeeding suppressing ovulation previously I would very much doubt you'd be ovulating so soon.
Thanks Sally.
Hmm, still confused. I went to my GP today and she said that it would actually be very likely that it was my period and that I am ovulating again due to the fact that ds sleeps right through the night for 11-12 hours so there are no night feeds what so ever. (We have had one night in the last 8 weeks that he has woken during the night).
As soon as I told her how much he sleeps my gp said "right, we need to discuss contraception then", and that was before I told her about my maybe period.
I guess I will just wait and see....
